if you thought i'm giving out clown rewards, no, i am too stingy.

i fire the crossbow, assuming that it would do exactly what you, and "tutorials" i saw, would tell me.
in practice they will snap their heads to my direction and start blasting, with quite good accuracy, even when i'm prone and shot leaning around a rock.
also i'd just feel cooler with a silenced marksman rifle ^^.
The marksman rifle isn't particularly loud, if you're taking shots about 40m away or so they shouldn't notice you. Crossbow I don't use much for stealth because it is gonna make a lot of enemies get to attention and be searching around because of the explosion alerting them. I brought an eruptor in my video just for closing fabricators, but used my pistol for dealing with enemies.
i guess i just have to try harder and get good.
or i need something like a VSS to make up for me getting too close, usually for lack of terrain options.
You can be like 10m infront of an enemy and they won't see you if you're prone in scout armor. Sound isn't lowered by being prone though of course, so you wanna be checking your map and pinging enemies to check distances before firing. You may also want to look up some stealth guides, Eravin made one recently that goes over some numbers that may be useful to know like dropships having big sight ranges for example.
EDIT: and like others have said, scout armor really does make a difference. Either by going solo or if you're going for the same objective as your fellows, I've noticed it's more likely that they're going to get the heat if you're flanking and they're pushing head on.
If you use louder weapons, like AT (Recoilles, EAT, etc.) you can try using smokes. Shotting from inside a smoke screen or drop one after taking down your designated target. If you dropped the smoke after your shot, atleast the bots will waddle around to the point, while you can take a new position while rotating around a rock or something. I haven't really used smokes offensively (throwing the smokes on enemies) so I don't how well that works. But for bots, I've found it fun using smoke grenades combined with jetpack for quick repositioning.
But I would also like a warbond centered around more stealthier/silenced weapons.
If you kill an enemy that is part of a static spawn and nobody sees the kill the rest of the enemies won't aggro. Weather is a factor because it changes vision ranges. Range is a factor as well, as enemies can become inactive if they are very far away. If a bullet flies past an enemy they will aggro, so semi-auto weapon is generally better.
The second you kill or damage any enemy that is part of a patrol the whole patrol will aggro. The exception is Strafing Run. If it's used from far enough away the enemies will aggro onto the Eagle instead of the player.
While noise is a factor it's not a massive one. Noise will never aggro. It can, however, make enemies look in the direction of the noise, move towards it or enter a higher level of alertness.
but no news came from it after that
