welcome to 2025
Buff enemies while nerfing the tools to deal with them.
Creating obvious weakspots that actually have hidden armor which doesn't make it a weakspot.
If you have done everything like this in the past. You have basically fostered a community that is going to complain a lot.
So when they bring the Freedom Station. And it basically is a constant artillery shelling on you 24/7. People tend to have a right to complain after getting randomly blown up for the 10th time. It is okay to be blown up, but not when it is out of your own control.
That was done by the community.
Again. That was 100% the community.
Yet again. That rests entirely with the community.
Only according to the community.
The community has been as absolutely as toxic as possible at every turn. Completely ignoring every buff and only focusing on nerf (or percieved nerfs) and having meltdown over meltdown over it. And just to remain toxic they always blame Arrowhead at every opportunity. The community makes for a very compelling case study in mob mentality.
If I was Arrowhead I would do one final update and walk away. This community has proven beyond any reasonable doubt that it does not deserve any further commitment by the dev team. Leaving the abusive community behind is the best choice they can make.
The community as a whole had to riot in order to get changes .
The main problem with negativity is that most people post a short rant on how they are unhappy with how things are handled, But what is necessary is a well thought- out post to get the conversation started.
While there's a multitude of posts complaining about the latest rant on how Arrowhead messed up, they all pretty much point out the negative changes brought by a new update.
The game has been terribly handled, and Arrowhead needs to do better . Let's not act like they have done nothing wrong.
I made the mistake a caring about what people wrote here for a long time in the beginning, now I mostly just block profiles.
Maybe somewhere around 3-5% of the criticism is valid, maybe, the rest is toxic trash.
You will occasional find a reasonable voice or post, but the community here does their best to smash those down.
If you go to an escape room , do you demand the proprietors change the rules to suit your needs? Do you scream through the wall that their game is "wrong"
I'd like to think you just play the game.
Like in chess , do you scream at the board and tell the queen she shouldn't be more powerful than the king? Do you flip the table?
Or do you just enjoy the game and it's rules?
If you ever played Pac-Man did you write the developer angry hate messages because the ghosts won? Did you demand that each power pellet be worth double the points?
It's absolute and complete mind numbing absurdity.
It's a fun ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game!
PLAY IT. Do what you are supposed to do with GAMES.
HAVE FUN within the given constraints.
THAT'S THE POINT OF A GAME.
