So people are going to defend instead of doing gambits
Gambits are also super slow to do at 0% progress as it takes awhile to take a planet. Even more so when everyone's split
So it's better to just save the MO target
There's a reason why we're losing like 15 planets to do this MO , I'm not sure what it is... But there needs to be a reason why we're getting pushed back so much recently and given impossible defense missions to do
I know they never want us to "win" but it's still annoying to see everything pushed back so much
Vernen Wells is now down from 5% to only 1.5%, but I think that's bait. What matters is killing as much of the Jet Brigade as possible.
You need 4x less diver to take it or we focus it like Turing and capture it 4x faster
If we only focus on defending our planets and never take the fight to the planets initiating the attacks, we may ultimately be forced back to Super Earth. There may come a time when too many planets are under siege too frequently, and at that point, we’ll need to take control of those hostile planets to stop their relentless push against us
Unless a mechanic gets introduced that "forces" players to stick to specified planets, you will never have a unified strategy - the game is simply not designed that way.
And even if - you would still have the issue of "whose strategy to follow"? Even in reality there are people that debate about different approaches - some tend to lean towards defensive, other towards offensive - and there are those that come up with complete different ideas.
Imo there should be a sort of voting system for galaxy map communication. Something like: "10.000 Player voted for attacking Planet A - If you play on Planet A you get some extra of those precious samples" or something like that - Planet A would then also be highlighted on the Galaxy Map.
You could even extend this further by voting "against" attacks, so there will be less benefits for players playing there.
This would also support a democratic narrative I think ;)
