Are hunters broken or stealth buffed?

I noticed hunters are just randomly spawning now, its not a patrol spawn but 1 will just randomly spawn behind you and jump on you, even with no enemies around.

I also noticed they can hit through walls and their range is now several times their body

Was this just a glitchy couple of games or what?

hunters are sneaky and they love to flank i will say i have had hunters pounce on me miss by about 2 feet and it still counts as a chest or head shot somehow lol

Patrols will always spawn close to you.

Also, hunters have always been able to jump you.

You're being flanked and aren't noticing it. They didn't spawn in just one hunter behind you, it's their signature move. Watch them when they are far away, you'll see at least one or two split off to the sides and they will try to avoid your line of sight specifically to get behind you.

Hunter has the best AI in this game ngl. They really prioritised to not be seen. I wish they did Stalker better. They're already invisible when moving but could've get the same AI,moving while invisible and flanking at the same time.

you are just getting confirmation bias. they have always had flanking behavior. all bugs have it, they try to surround you in large groups, but hunters have from day 1 been the most tuned to flanking and even moving away from where helldivers are aiming. you just notice it more now because we take way more damage than we did a couple patches ago and they're back to killing is in 2 hits most of the time even in heavy 150 armor. that said hunter body hp is much lower than it used to be and many weapons do more damage, so they're also easier to kill than before

As of the last update I've seen titans and big bugs despawn in front of me, but I have yet to see something spawn around me yet. (not counting bug holes)

As for the range, they have a tongue attack like Stalkers do.
