It's a video game, it's not supposed to align with how the real world operates.
I doubt it will change and it's something everyone has to adapt to. You have to hose them down with more durable damage or high explosives to stop them cold.
Because none of those things are how the real world operates, right?
The game does have some things grounded in reality, but obviously artistic license has been taken to try to make the game enjoyable. If you want to talk about not making sense start with FTL capable ships.
The less cool part is that they become twice as agressive (in itself quite nice) AND they still track/see you perfectly well without a head.
They'll sprint towards you with CS:GO pro tracking and hit you with a 2/3 combo absolutely slaughtering you.
Imo they should continue to swing, maybe even twice as fast&agressive like they do, but they should at least have some sight reduction to them.
Imagine how cool it would be if they could hit friendly bugs when they lose their head, similar to gas behaviour.
Easily fixed, remove the ability to call in headless. Remove tracking so it's like the gas' berzerk effect. Done.
