Crisper pistol vs grenade pistol

I've been enjoying the Exploding Crossbow so I take Bushwhacker against Bugs and Senator against Bots. I play a bit more stealthy though. Been taking to Jetpacking around and looking for rng weapons on the battlefield against Bugs on 10.

The Grenade Pistol lets you pick Stun Grenades and still close bug holes and destroy fabricators with it, and occasionally useful for killing things.

The other secondaries... kill enemies I guess. So can every other gun in the game and have you ever seriously needed your secondary weapon?

Pick things you will actually use that let you fill more roles with your loadout.

Dagger is more useful than Crisper. You can shoot things from afar with hit scan and kill them, and there's virtually no logistical overhead with ammo needs. It's a mini Scythe, and contrary to people's opinions, the Scythe is not that bad a weapon either even more so now that laser weapons can light things on fire.

Nade pistol no contest.
That one actually good at the hole closing jobs, that and hole closing is a nice utility.
And free you nade slots for one of the strongest tools in the game, stun nade.

Flamer pistol is just the old flamer, but much worst.

A firing delay that is largely inconsequential. I'll take a Dagger with a Blitzer any day for bugs. Be completely independent from the rest of the team. Take a Scythe or Sickle for bots. Same deal. In addition, I use basic frags; I don't use impacts or stuns, and I exclusively use heavy armor.

The laser weapons are great, but of course this is completely dependent on play style and what merits you want to have. A secondary should do whatever it is you're looking for in a given loadout, but things like the Dagger or Scythe are not bad by any means. It depends on what you're using them for in the context of your kit, right?

Depends on the build. If you running with grenades or grenade launcher, crisper is really good for setting fire on the ground for extra kills. Can be used to kill off bugs that chases you down.
Grenade pistol is useful for its utility, but crisper is most lethal sidearm for extra kills.

I use the Dagger to kill things the Blitzer can't reach or when it would cause collateral damage to nearby teammates. The delay on the laser weapons is no factor to me so of course that aspect of the weapons is a subjective matter. Grenade pistol is great, but I don't feel compelled to take it since I kill objectives by other means instead.

I do, but you missed the opportunity for a "good to know, captain Obvious" or something like that. I mean, Mr. “well achxsshully” is not bad, but not that good either. Sure, the others are overused, but you gotta respect the classics.
