Its a primary version of the flamethrower.
Torcher: 260 damage/second at AP3 with 50/25 AP4 burn and 80 mag capacity.
Flamethrower: 400 damage/second (500 with upgrade) at AP3 with 50/25 AP4 burn and 100 mag capacity.
The only concern is if the torcher has the same standard/durable damage ratio as the flamethrower.
well, you got 2 other slots for handling those ^^ Personally i think the torcher is very useful for dealing with chaff. It roasts warriors in moments, and you can basically just sweep the scavengers to set them on fire and kill them.
A weapon is a tool. The right tool for the right job and all that.
Cool. Go take down a charger and an impaler with it. If it takes you 90% of your reserve magazines, then there's your answer as to why people hate the flame changes. Medium armor is not the problem. HEAVY is. They drone on and on about "realism", and no one stops to think about how an actual flamethrower would COOK a naturally armored LIVING target by boiling it from the inside. The changes are asinine and need to be reverted. It's invalidated all of the flame weapons against anything bigger than a brood lord, and I guarantee you the flamers will be worthless against anything bigger than the bog standard infantry automatons.
will be rly cool if the armor of heavy targets will start to *melt* and become red so other players will be able to brake it with bullets.
will make flamethrowers a legit good team weapon(this is a team game btw) + other players will be easy to see where to shoot since even in a midle of the horde they will see a brigh red armor part on the elite
While cool, it's a functionality I don't think Arrowhead know how to implement.
I've tested the torcher on 10, it's not worth bringing. Neither is the flamethrower. I don't even see them as worth bringing on 7.
Whatever the Torcher can do, I can do better with nearly every other primary. Or a stalwart. It has no purpose.
I bring a machine gun (the normal ones, not the stalwart) and it kills everything effectively from long distance except Chargers and Titans. Yes..even Impaler (it will die in half mag to the face). I prefer the Cookout over Torcher but if people can use it effectively, that's fine with me too
It is fine.
I haven't tried the cookout yet, but given that i love the punisher, i have high hopes. As for the standard MG, it is one of the most versatile weapons in the game IMO, so good for almost everything. I think AH should use it and the autocanon as their baseline for judging other support weapons. Both very well designed.
