Fighting Bots is just not fun
Iv'e said this before and got downvoted for it, but it stands true now and soon even more so with the addition of more rocket spam bots. Getting ragdolled every second by bots is just not fun gameplay. Ive had it where Ive not been able to play for half a minute due to rocket spam, and when i say not be able to play i mean stuck in ragdoll animations due to rockets.

A huge nerf to rocket ragdolling needs to happen, far too often this happens due to bots having unlimited spammable ammo.

It almost gets to a stage where i think Might as well only fight the bugs as they have less total bs mechanics of spamming you with rockets.

Nah, it's fun. It's just absolutely different from Bug front. If you played Metal Gear Solid 5 - Bot front is easy and fun.
i dunno... If you are having trouble dealing with being ragdolled, you can try using the shield generator. Not the backpack one, but the tower one.

So what do you do for the other 38 minutes?

Use covers, analize enemies before engaging, use envinronmental awarness, pick targets, constantly move.

I think one player put it best saying "Fighting bugs feel like a chore, fighting bots fell like work".

Any major order involving bots makes me groan, and genuinely dissuades me from wanting to play at all. I think of how I could have fun playing something else instead, but how I need those samples to make some advances in unlocking the rest of the overpriced upgrades, or preparing medals for when the next warbond will show up, the one I will also need to keep 1000 super credits in stock for, all while contributing just in case we actually get a good reward for once.

I feel like when a game fails to make the process of chasing the next unlock a fun trip, and instead turn it into something akin to work, grind or hussle, it fails at its mission as a game. While Deep Rock Galastic does demands a lot of resources to unlock well, everything, at least every dive feels novel, interesting and fun. Sure you have the occasionnal painful one with terrible layouts and conditions, but they are the exception rather than the norm. With Helldivers 2, we already know how any bot mission is going to go.

tbh i would blame lack of content on that. And weapon design. Recently using the Railgun to clear devas and at sts has been really fun. Way more reliable than having to scope in with an AMR. But yeah... Bots are kinda... Kinda predictable.

How do you get downvoted on steam?

Bots have a serious problem with throwing large amounts of medium armor at you. There's no spread, just walls of devastators and the occasional little guy here and there. It makes it less fun when the majority of enemies you're fighting require you to aim for weak-points and have the ability to burst you down.

Something I have never really seen someone mention is that almost every bot has the potential to burst you to death at the right range, even from medium range and occasionally long range. Bots are an enemy that requires you to be spaced from them at all times, as the closer you get the more dangerous they get, even more so than the faction that relies primarily on melee. It's ironic IMO.

they need to throw more walls of little guys at you. The game seems to really struggle with actually making use of the full roaster of enemies you can fight.

Precise aim fix the problem greatly.

Aiming precisely doesn't fix my issue with a blatant lack of enemy variety against a faction. I don't want to fight endless waves of devastators, it's annoying.

There are 3 types of devastators. Sound like problem in skill issue, not in "lack of diversity"
i use shield backpack-orbital strike- 500 kg- plasma shotgun- stun grenades - anty mat rifle

Oh boy, the skill issue insult again. "you don't like fighting the same three enemies in a roaster of like 17? Must be a skill issue lol" I never even said bots were hard. I will infact say they are not hard. Just not as fun to engage.
