Time limit of personal orders
Did personal orders always come with such a short time limit? My group recently started playing this game and while we enjoy it a lot, we usually don't have enough time to play more than 1 or 2 missions a day. Since the time limit for personal orders is 24 hours, they usually abort before being resolved, making our progress with medals really slow.

They've always been 'dailies' as far as I know. Usually a single small task as a daily isn't much to ask. Most of them can be done in a single mission.

I've tried that but it's such a rush and ruins the game. Yesterday, when I was at 93 percent of killing 100 enemies with that strafing gun, the mission ended, we called it a day and my personal order ended up unfinished. It would be better not to care about it at all, but this game is so grindy.

You know that your team mates contribute too, right? So if all of you take the weapon/stratagem needed for that PO, all your collective kills will contribute to the same total?

Thanks, I didn't realize personal orders were shared!

Yes, everyone has the same PO each day, and everyone's progress during a mission generally applies to everyone's tally.

You could have started a new mission, killed 7 guys and then quit. If the goal is to finish the personal mission, it doesn't matter if you fail the actual operation you are going on.
It's an extra bonus for people that want to put in the effort of doing them.

As your group is very casual, and barely plays, you're not going to get it often. Effort equals reward.

Yeah I do realize that as I missed my PO again today (to complete 3 missions). We earned 8 medals from the 2 missions we did, and could have earned 15+ if only we had gone for a 3rd one.

But one must also realize that is exactly the way these live-service games are designed: enticing you to extend your playtime beyond what you've originally planned and/or to spend real money. It takes a conscious effort to resist that. So, going with Midas' suggestion, I'm going to talk to my group about cooperating on personal orders that seem feasible to complete, and just casually let the others slip.

Thanks for your input, everyone!

Personal mission objective: Help the Newdiver. ✅ Completed.
Midas you have been awarded: 🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆 5!

gbuglyo, if you and your team could complete three missions a day, then you'd be cooking with gas (running an 'Operation', instead of singles) more everything* + liberation.
You'll pick up on which ones are the fast ones: 2 fast, 1 slow will still fit into your time-frame.

Yeah, that's possible, we'll probably get faster with experience. Right now, I think we're spending too much time looking around for stuff and figuring out objectives.

That's great! Don't forget to spend sometime playing slapass and melee one of your friends off a cliff. ;)

Never cared about it, you don't need to buy every items on the game anyway. Only some weapons and boosters. Actually I needed more super credits rather than medals. Also I sometimes complete such orders by just entering game, without understanding why the award was given.

True, but you need medals for the weapons, boosters and the super credits. The only things you can get without them are the stratagems.
