What happened?

Why the sudden dip in player? Did the dev team went overboard with nerfs and sniffed the fun out of this game? This kind of reminds me of over controlling Blizzard.

Did you just go live in a cave during their slew of controversies a couple months ago? Game has been dying for a while

Most people that play a reasonable amount of time whilst maintaining a social life and work have reached the ingame caps and are probably bored, waiting for more content.

It's pretty logical really, no big new controversy you milk for emotions here.

I do wish HD2 had a prestige/reset system like in HD1 where you can start from scratch, but with the currency and monetization models it's just not possible to reset progress when some of the progress costs money.

all statistics aside - i don't have problems finding lobbies to join or being left alone for very long after throwing the SOS-beacon. could also be that people are just taking a break before "Escalation of Freedom" drops on August 6th.

Yeah they could reset the "free" part of the progress, i'd like that.
I don't think they're going for that though, the level cap here is 150 and in HD1 it was just 50, i think they doubled down on not having it.

People burned through the content, a lot of people quit during the Sony case and now cant return, performance is at an all time low and the game is still very broken.
