If you blue screen then that is not a problem of the game but of your pc. Thats either a hardware or an OS problem.

The game does have issues actually closing the game but a simple task manager force close is all thats required.

Again, blue sccreens of death aren't game related, they are hardware and OS related.

Well to me this is game related since It's blue screening after closing and ONLY ever had a bluescreen from helldivers so it's still the games fault

Yeah nah. No game nowadays causes a blue screen of death, it's not 2004 when it was a common thing. Whether or not you like it, it's still a hardware or OS issue on your end.

Indeed, its a hardware or OS issue... the fact that this happens ONLY with HD2 is not really important.

Here is an example; If HD2 uses different parts of your system RAM than other games or programs, and those used parts of ram is showing signs of defect, then yes, it is easy to blame the game, but the problem still lies with your physical RAM.

Ram is the cheapest and easiest solution, but not always THE solution.

What is your PC specs?

i did have a problem for a while that almost every time i closed out of the game it would just crash when i pressed quit and would lock everything up and id have to restart my pc. but no blue screen tho and hasn't happened in a while

2 months ago closing the game just closed fine but after some patches every game exit became a sony crash report or not even closing the game and having to close it in task manager and steam for it to stop seeing as running

not getting the blue screen of death, but the only way I can get the game to fully close is to use the task manager and end process, Otherwise I just get stuck with the last frame before the game stopped running.

Happen me like 2 times in 100 hours , and lots of frozen game after close
Almost never a crash in the heat of the battle or when its a flood of bugs ( only 2 times too )
I think its a GPU drivers problem ( truly i changed mi hd to ssd 2 years ago and only this game gave me 2 blue screens ) , because when i started playing was good , nvidia drivers update came and starts the crap , other update and was less common , and now with the latest nvidia update is smooth again and never a freeze game after quit ( and yeah , i do total uninstall old driver in the new instalation )

How did you fix it, because ever since I installed helldivers, while playing the game it runs smooth, all my files aren't corrupt because I checked, and my drivers are up to date, my pc just freezes then becomes unusable

Any chance Windows produced a STOP code?
My guess is Windows Defender and GameGuard have an issue.
You can try adding the GameGuard folder in the Windows defender exclude folder list.

I've also been getting blue screens when closing the game for a few patches now. The error code I get is related to GPU drivers but I've updated them and even did multiple clean installs with DDU and it still happens. Never had any issues with any other game before so I think this game is just ♥♥♥♥♥♥, which doesn't surprise me considering how bug-ridden and unstable it is.

Blue screen, is not the game, it's a hardware problem linked to your GPU. years ago I had issues with some games but not others with graphics and random crashes and blue screens, turned out that when i checked over my GPU, it had lost some capacitors. so might be worth giving your GPU a visual inspection to see if it has any damage. Unfortunately components can just die.

I haven't had it Bluescreen on me but numerous times when the game would simply hang up upon closing, thus blocking the screen. You then have Alt-CTRL-DEL and then logout the user to restart the OS.
Concerning the OP's hardware, it sounds like it is working borderline and HD2 just tips it over.
You may need to check wether your CPU, memory or GPU is overclocked, however slight, and reduce that.

Don't immediately assume that blue screens are the result of an OS or hardware issue. Blue screens can also be caused by driver issues and kernel level anti-cheats.
