It's possible but surely they must realise sooner or later they are going to make another game then lets see them make 10x what they expect when nobody trusts them anymore.

People saying "they already have your money" are only half right. While the initial massive wave of cash was certainly a huge win, this was obviously a case where Sony wanted a game to be a long-term cash generating machine. That's why Bungie has basically just only made Destiny for a decade now, because they can just keep milking it for more and more money. That's the ideal money making model for any video game company, continual revenue. That constant, steady supply of money can then go on to fund other projects.

The fact that the player count is now decreasing because of the complete and total failure of the devs to play their own game past D3 is causing the long-term profit of this game to fall into question, which was the initial goal of the game.

Sony had no idea this game was going to be successful. So much so that they basically sent it out to die:

• Garbage server capacity
  
• Near zero marketing
  
• PSN requirements on PC

This game was never meant to be the golden goose it became, and the revisionist history has been hilarious in the worst way.

That was a disaster as well to be fair but the day before never existed, it was a scam from the get go and that was all you were ever going to get.

AH however hit a gold mine on release with something close to a masterpiece and have worked tirelessly since launch to fumble this game every step of the way.

a lot of the fake outrage is just people being frustrated at watching the devs constantly fall over their own feet with idiotic decisions when they really had to do very little after launch to turn this game into something special.
