Enough with the factory striders on High Value Asset objective
FOUR times in a row on Helldive this damn game dropped a factory strider either right on top of the objective or on the landing pad - how in the hell are we supposed to defend against that when we just had to spend all our ammmo defeating another two that dropped at the same time.

This isn't a challenge. This is an IMPOSSIBLE scenario and it is not fun. Fix. Your. Game.

Make that 5 times - it doesn't matter where the "front line" is - they keep dropping further and further back even if they don't pop a flare back there. You can wipe out every enemy on a wave and they will suddenly drop at the 2nd or 3rd door for no damn reason. There is ABSOLUTELY no way to defend against that and this didn't use to happen. There is no reasonable reason for there to be 3 factory striders on a single wave short of a Super Helldive and the artillery tanks are overpowered on this by a long shot since they can and will hit the objective from outside the complex while you are trying to take out the striders. There is simply not enough firepower among 4 people to do it. And that makes the game not fun anymore.

I used to play Helldive for a challenge. Now I have to bump it down not to have an anyeurism over their ♥♥♥♥♥♥ game design and breaking something EVERY SINGLE UPDATE.

It seems like those missions, which are my favourites, haven't been adjusted since the game first came out. Factory Striders, rocket artillery, missile striders, Impalers etc one shot the walls and in the case of striders can one shot the gens from behind undamaged gates. They need to add a force field at each gate that goes down when the gate falls or something to prevent generator sniping

With different spawn mechanics and enemy types since launch, without HVA missions being tweaked to accommodate that, they can be actually impossible at times. It's basically up to RNG dictating what spawns, no matter how skilled you are.

Take cover, circle around, and delay until you have Stratagems ready again.

Make sure a Resupply is dropped outside of extraction, so you can run away to it for more ammo/stims/etc if needed.

Admittedly though... I've had more than one Bot extraction go pear shaped and end with everyone dead, even if we did finish the missions.

I was about to finally complete one in super helldive in this MO, when a random that joined opened the gates that i closed and I asked why, his reason was that once gates breaks it changes the spawn points, or something like that. I didnt question and let it roll, interesting enough they spawn where they were supposed to and not on top. Ended losing the OP due to the same randoms, but thats a different topic. this just show that AH is not really organized.

Someone said not to take down those dropships,
as it would make them drop closer to the base, but I haven't tried it yet.

They mentioned specifically factory strider spawns. That isn’t something that, especially on a high value mission, can be easily dealt with just by getting a resupply or simply delaying to get stratagems back. In the time it takes to get stratagems back other automatons would have already breached and failed the mission

I am talking about the high value assets (rockets) mission - the one with the wall/shield icon. It all takes place in one spot - and you can't possibly have enough stratagems even between 4 players to take down 3 factory striders before the next wave starts. It snowballs. Add in artillery tanks that can hit the generators from outside the complex and it is nigh on impossible now.

I actually advocate for leaving the gates open until you absolutely have to close them. When you start getting overrun they can hold off the enemy long enough for you to regroup. They are best saved for those moments. Never fails, though, some rando will keep closing them and then ♥♥♥♥♥ at me when I open them again. They get shot or kicked (I almost always host) if they don't listen.

I wouldn't be so irked by this if it wasn't for the fact that this is one of the few mission types you could possibly beat faster than the annoying game crashing bug arrives.

I mentioned that. It's the only way. I played with 3 other 120+ players on Helldive and we still didn't make it past the 3rd rocket because of this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. It is unplayable... there is just simply not enough firepower to kill everything even without it dropping bots right on the generators, which it does every. single. time.

Tier 9 difficulty - 2nd to last with tier 10 just added. It used to be playable but they have not adjusted some of the mission types to account for the bot changes in the last couple of updates. There should be ZERO opportunities for the bots to attack the objective without at least entering the complex, but instead we have factory striders and artillery tanks spamming the generators from the very first wave as soon as they set down outside the complex. And then they also drop right on top of you without another bot shooting off a flare (just their regular wave spawn starts dropping on you instead of where they should be.)
