Too many ranged attacks with infinite range / sight line, too many knockdown effects, gunships are big fat annoying mosquitoes and have fun dealing with 4 gunship fabricators sitting next to each other on a map that includes gunship patrols.
They aren't comparable to shriekers and the devs didn't add additional cover against gunships.
Then they just ragequit and come to forums with 18 bullet points complaining about bots and gunships.
I find Chargers to be easier to deal with and yes they can get messed up in their movement / animation usually because of the EMS Stun effect.
Flying patrols are a double edged sword. Yes they can move quickly away but if they get aggro'd they can easily zero in on your location to attack or investigate the area if they hear a noise.
I've also had one such patrol aggro on me when lying down and wearing stealth armour - might not have been in a bush. They were flying overhead but still I think with ground patrols you can easily sneak by them with scout passive.
do i take stalwart or normal mg on bot missions
Regarding gunship patrols i've had them go into their "search mode" and they only ever saw me if i ran/got up or crouched(not as bad as getting up)/got spotted and shot at by ground bots/shot a weapon (different outcomes depending on sound profile), if you manage to avoid actually being "spotted" they forget about the search pretty quickly unlike ground patrols who look around pretty heavily.
Normal is better than stalwart, but still low tier. When you unlock autocannon try that. If you're dead-set on machineguns, heavy machine gun is best. (at higher difficulties)
Anti-Material Rifle is also a good early game choice
Scout Stiders and Gunships can be a big pain, but lean on allies or bring a Rocket Sentry (I assume you don't have much in the way of plasma or explosive primary weapons).
*edit: Gatling sentry and Eagle Strafing are also a surprisingly strong choices
Αστείο βλέποντας αυτό το φόρουμ να είναι γεμάτο με παράπονα "θέματος δεξιοτήτων" αμέσως μετά την πτώση ενός bot MO.
