i don't like the commando
its damage is not as good as the eat and i can't really figure out why its here its not something i can get behind besides the increased fire rate.

Supposedly it can kill bot fabs by shooting them anywhere. That alone makes it S tier for some situations. Though spear is likely going to be the best group AA atm.

On paper, 4 Commando shots should be the equivalent of 2 EAT shots.

The main draw of the Commando over the EAT is the laser guiding aspect. Being able to more reliably hit a target in a critical weakspot is substantial. Some would argue that being able to do the same damage as 2 EATs but from a single uninterrupted firing position is also of some benefit.

End of the day, this weapon is supposed to be a lateral pass from the EAT, not an outright upgrade.

I personally like and enjoy both for similar, but also slightly different situational, uses

Paired with EAT, it makes short work of any and all enemies

You can carry all of the Commando's shots around with you, but you can only transport 1 EAT at a time.

Laser guidance gives it range to the horizon.

4 shots gives you options, you can doubletap two heavies or splash 4 medium enemies as needed.

Deletes Fabricators like the spear.

EAT had a good run, but it's now a very niche stratagem.

I believe that Commando can still 1 shot Hulks if you hit their eye.

EAT is still good because you can stock pile them due to the low cooldown.

Might run Flamethrower, EAT, Commando, Eagle Strafing Run against Bugs.

i'm also surprised at how much love it's getting on bots when nothing on bots really wants to be shot with a rocket launcher. Blowing up fabricators is nice but really not much more than a novelty outside of blitz missions.

I am extremely hopeful for its interaction with chargers though. It should be 2 behemoth kills per commando and 4 uses per launcher means you can carry ammo forward better than you can with the EAT. It's definitely going to be something that will need vibed out but I'm optimistic.

anyone else prefer dumb-fire??
i feel like i miss more with the commando now.

If you wanna kill two behemoths with one stratagem, you need a Patriot, a Spear, or a trickshot with the 500kg and a stun nade

Not sure what you mean. The commando should do it with its current stat block.

You can hold R to turn off the laser guidance and have it fire "dumb" rockets.
