If you are looking for a single player game, look elsewhere.
If not no.
I'd say give it a few major updates.
If you like this sort of game, itll be worth it. It can be a bit repetitive but Its been fun both going solo and in groups.
solo is *possible* not recommended nor the way the game is designed to be played.
teams of 2-4 with randoms is a blast and I recommend it, if you want a slower paced gameplay style then find a friend or two to do that with duos/trios are more than possible to swiftly clear maps with stealth/tatctical gameplay.
in terms of its current quality:
the gameplay is great
the vibe is great
the performance is mid at best.
game requires stable internet or else you literally will not be able to complete a mission without multiple disconnects even when solo.
bugs are still aplenty but a LOT of them were fixed recently (yet many still need to be)
I'd give it another month or 3 if you want to hop in with a more refined game and check it out then. if you are fine with some rough around the edges issues but gold underneath this game is amazing.
The game has technical problems. It’s may sometimes suddenly disconnect, the game may sometimes crash or the game may not work at all today (server connection issues). And the same problem like in helldivers 1 where you use mostly the same stratagems over and over again because of heavy armored targets.
The game for solo players is very limited.
The game has several issue.
Frame rate, infinite loading screen, countless in game bugs.
Spawn rate is not balanced well and sometime enemies just appear from fresh air.
Weapons system is also not balanced and only a few of them are useful the rest is just trash.
After some time you will be forced to dive with the same 3 or 4 equipment to be effective.
The planets war is steady and you will be forced to play on the same planet over and over again for months.
You feel no impact on the war efforts unless the full community spawn on the same planet.
If you play with friends you could experience some fun for a limited time, then reality will emerge.
No, the game is a bug ridden mess that still randomly crashes. Wait like half a year then check if it still has a playerbase and what people are complaining about.
I eventually bought the game just over 5 weeks ago, i was reluctant because I also generally dislike small coop games and hate that they are becoming more and more common in the last yr or two... But this game has not disappointed. i've played nearly every day since and can;t get enough. It's far from perfect but well worth it, not too grindy and everything can be unlocked in game - no need to pay to play or purchase unlockables with real money !
