So the steam page says it's 100gb but someone told me recently that on Playstation it's 30gb

Anyone knows if the file size for PC is actually 100 gb or what it actually is cuase the only thing keeping me from wanting to play currently (thats about the game) is the huge file size

according to steam when i check properties of the game its just a bit over 70 gigabytes on my drive.

Steam tells your PC to allocate a 100 gigs (usally the combined files sizes of the game's installer and fully finished install plus like 5-10 gigs of head room) to make sure the game installs and or unpacks correctly

it takes a bit longer than purely downloading 20gigs, because it also unpacks and installs during download, not after. idk why this method, since we cant play before %100installation, there s no partial pre-play.

My main problem with the huge file size is just I'm limited in my download for fast speed data of 60gb

Thanks guys for the explanation. The 100 gigas terrified me with my poor download speed. I don't have that much space on my Steam Deck tho so, no buy tonight anyway haha.

It was refreshing to me, to see a game with an optimised download. my download speed is fine, but my mate doesn't live in a major city centre, so downloading a 100gb game would take easily around 18 hours. But since it downloads 20 and extracts to 70, It was a much more manageable "while he's sleeping" download.
