It could do things like:
- negate mission modifiers affecting offensive stratagems precision and call in time.
- you still have access to stratagems and/or reinforcements after the mission timer runs out if at least one squad m8 wears a radio.
- reduce cooldowns of certain stratagems
- increase number of limited stratagems
- reinforcements are called automatically if at least one squad m8 wears a radio
-Mechs (are coming) but possibly 2-seaters, playable by 2 players at once. I hope they are customizable and then I‘m happy.
-„Raids“, Large Missions for 2-4 Squads.
-Small vehicles like a buggy with only light weapons but fast!
-Support Role, player in the ship to deliver/aim strategems, intel, fly the rescue ship.
-Ship Customization
And since people often stay in one place already, placeable strategem that boosts or recharges strategems could be fun to.
Hopefully they will get to things like that after fixing the servers.
I highly doubt mechs will be customizable. I guess, just like in the first game, there will be multiple variants. One with miniguns, one with autocannons, one with flamethrower, ect. They were one seaters in the first game though.
I love your raid idea including multiple squads.
The first game had wheeled vehicles. Hope they will be present here again as well. All 4 squad m8's could get in. One was the driver, one operated the main cannon and the remaining 2 operated mg's. I really hope this will make it into the game again.
That sounds great and being able to choose from different weapon loadouts for the mechs is nice too!
Imo the current armor store already acts kinda like a transmog system. The armor you get there has a mix of already present stats from base game armor, but with different looks.
I agree the helmets should have some kind of features or stats too. Night/thermal vision is a great idea. Maybe auto ping heavy targets or patrols would also be a usefull thing.
-Armor color customization and camo patterns (Possibly if have matching camo pattern for the planet your on you're slightly harder to spot)
-Weapon attachments.
-Mostly I was thinking of Suppressors so it's possible to run stealth missions in a way and attract less attention but you could possibly also do under-slung grenade launcher or shotgun, drum mags, quick swap mags
-Ammo types for weapons
-For example shotguns. You can unlock slugs, explosive slugs, flechette and dragons breath rounds.
-Sam site turret
-Helmet buff's
-Better zoom, Enemy marking (Little boxes around the enemies within range), Motion sensor ping in vision, Night vision, Thermal
-Laser designator and precision ordinance
-In reference to Frank above for vehicles maybe the possibility to utilize undamaged walkers from the robots after shooting the pilot off
-Just in general more side arm variants like a sawed off double barrel.
-Last radical idea. Chain sword cause ... who wouldn't want to make a final stand atop a hill waiting for extract or cut off from friendlies with no support left from the ship and you're totally out of ammo cutting down bugs and robots?
Being similar to the Protoss from Starcraft, or the Eldari from 40K, I like to think the Illuminate would be the most "Elitest" faction in the game. That means they have fewer overall units than the other factions, but each unit is stronger.
Basically the Terminids are the spammy faction like the Zerg. The Illuminate are the Elitest faction like the Protoss, and the Automatons are the Ballenced faction like the Terrans.
Ppl flex at me with their 500+ kills but i can't flex at them with several heavy targets and elites killed.
Maybe the kills could be devided into 3 or so categories of enemies.
Also ammo efficiency would be a nice flex and cool to see.
A percentage like we have for precision but ammo efficiency takes into account how many rounds you left in magazins at reload, how many rounds actually did dmg (not bounced off of armor), how many enemies you damaged/killed with the same round/grenade/explosive, ect.
Or, for the sake of simplicity, just "dmg dealt".
It is a cool idea, but sadly, I don't think this is possible due to how the game is designed.
Take the liberator and liberator penetrator for example. Or the breaker and the breaker with fire rounds.
Devs clearly decided to not go with ammo types and weapon attachments but instead with multiple variants of the same weapon.
True true. I mean at very least more variants. For example there's a slug shot gun but the only version is the pump action. Hopefully in time they'll add more versions of the guns.
I had a second thought about mechs.
A 4 seater would be dope. Super earth engineers could have developed a 4 legged mech, similar to the ATAT's from star wars, by simply kinda merging 2 2-legged mechs together. It could shoot from the front and from the back.
Seat 1 = dirver
Seat 2 = front gun operator
Seat 3 = loader (increases fire rate/reloading of front and back guns)
Seat 4 = back gun operator
