Still, there is nothing else to talk about it really -- friendly fire is taken very lightly in this game. And maybe you should as well.
Simple as that.
This however, goes against part of the design philosophy for Helldivers. So, no. It would not be doing "everyone a favor" as you so put it. Helldivers are supposed to be disposable pawns of Super Earth, blindly following directives that they are given (sound familiar?).
Friendly fire has been a core component of the gameplay. It's part of the fun and the shenanigans. If it was removed, even by an option to do so, the entire game would have to be adjusted to compensate for it. Turrets would have to be redesigned, air support would have to be adjusted, weapons would have to be modified. The entirety of the game is designed around the philosophy that if you can't pay attention to what's going on around you, or communicate accordingly, bad (but funny) things are going to happen.
There's literally tooltips and memes about it. You would be stripping part of the game's identity because you apparently find it largely inconvenient to die from "friendly fire". Be it intentional or otherwise.
I'm glad you find the game fun, and that you are supporting the devs in their endeavor to make an even better game, but the friendly fire isn't going anywhere. The devs have made that abundantly clear since the first Helldivers.
How do you do that? Will it prevent matchmaking with that person? Or just block their Steam profile?
either by accidental friendly fire or by the sheer amount of hordes of enemies,
just say the game isnt for you.
>Is upset that you can be team killed in a game where the marketing shows team kills
"Your honor, it was pretty based tbh"
But yeah, that's what the kick function is for. If you have a team mate who is intentionally committing friendly fire.
