R-36 Eruptor
This gun is so useful, it takes out enemies close together, opens doors, knocks out radio towers in two shots.
I'm not sure what else it can do yet, but what do you all think?
Anybody tried a dropship or bug hole yet?

My guy, it is not old railgun, it also comes with its own set of disadvantages, using that weapon, scavengers are now a threat and hunters are certain death.

Oh, I'm quite aware that using it up-close is basically a death sentence.
It even tells you in it's weapon description.

yea it is. because the scope seems to be actually aligned unlike the AMR. my only regret as far as the weapon goes is that it does not do damage to a hulks face plate. it almost perfect imo in every other regard
Alignment doesn't actually matter when the bullet doesn't have any speed. You have to compensate like crazy when shooting at anything past 50m. God help you if it's a fast-moving target.

I hate video game logic when it comes to rockets so much... They aren't freaking slow.

On the bright side, you can always compensate the slow speed from the gyro bullets of the Eruptor by aiming at the ground near enemies. The explosion will take care of mobs and armored.

I'm enjoying using it but I think the 'bullet' (rocket) drop and only have 5 shots in a magazine, hurts it in the long run.

I would bump it to 8 in a mag, drop the total ammo from 12 to 10 magazines and lower the bullet drop since it already has heavy bullet travel time to 'balance' it.

Sure, kinda beats the point of having an "accurate" scope though. At that point it's just a slow-firing grenade launcher.

I like it, it gives me a reason to use the machine gun stratagems

Due to the poor range, all these tasks can be done better with support weapons or strats.
You are sacrificing your primary for something that doesn't do a good job at anything really. That's my opinion from testing it in two missions only. It's so cumbersome to use...you can literally acquire targets faster with Quasar...Feels like I'm aiming a 20pound cowbell at my enemies.

I can hear the slugger crying in the corner. And the Dominator is in full Karen mode

It's decent. Utility value is amazing, being able to pop bug holes and factories with a primary is great. It's also practical against devastators and striders, one-shotting devastators on a headshot and striders if you get a solid hit close enough to the pilot (it's the explosion killing him, so if you hit it too far from him the splash won't be enough.

But at the same time, it handles worse than most support weapons, has a glacial rate of fire, only 5 rounds per mag, its range is short (the bullets airburst after quite a short distance, short enough that standing at one end of a bot control tower base I couldn't hit a fabricator at the opposite side).

Its strengths are very strong, but its weaknesses are similarly extreme. I'm on the fence as to whether I actually like it or not, I'm erring towards "no". Once I have the other weapons unlocked and I have more sources of explosive damage, I suspect I'll stop using it.

I just tried it for the first time and I think it might be the worst primary. What is up with the weird super-laggy aiming?
