Lmg/Mmg
Those 2 types of machine guns should be usable as primary. It make no sense for them to be consider as "heavy weapons" because they are not. Since we cannot modifies our guns, being force to play weapons that will be suited for "humans engagement" is just stupid.. 30 rounds mag for going against armies of angry bugs and terminators is not fun -_- I wanna rock a Lmg and a Law, not being force to choose one or the other ...

That's why the good lord above invented teammates.

Some of the heavy weapons are useless and I kind of agree that some LMGs could probably be primaries with a few nerfs. Considering the Scorcher and Dominator outclass every gun in that slot for bots and the Incindiery breaker makes bugs into a hot mush after the buffs, I can see the M-105 Stalwart being a primary with a reduced magazine.

If by Law you mean Expendable Anti-Tank then you can still effectively use both, EAT has very low cooldown (70 seconds) so you can call them fairly often whenever you encounter heavy armour without sacrificing your current support weapon slot which can be reserved for Stalwart or MG-43, because EATs are single use

I used to run MG + EAT combo for every mission till i reached level 20, it's fairly effective up until highest difficulties like 7-9 when heavy armour becomes too common for EAT's cooldown

As the CEO of Super Earth Armaments I am OUTRAGED at what I am hearing from some Helldivers out in the field.

"some of the heavy weapons are useless."

What I wouldn't give to have one of those "useless weapons" for my home defense. You never know when a terminid will murder your loving wife and child in cold communist blood.

Our men, women and children that work 14 hour days under greuling conditions in our factories are some of the most patriotic people.

Each and every weapon we manufacture is done to the precise specifications as provided to us by the Ministry of Engineering. Weapons and ordnance are spot checked to ensure proper functionality by our award winning junior helldivers program. And some of the survivors eventually move on to become actual helldivers.

And our War01k program is one of the best in the industry. 99% of the workers wages are donated to the Super Earth Attack Force to support the war effort. AND our company even matches a full 1%. That's right a full 1 percent.

It takes a lot of patriots to make the managed democracy work.

Hearing actual helldivers complain about weapons being useless just breaks my super patriotic heart.

Disgusting.
I just wish the MG206 had heavy pen but did lower damage. In my uses, there's no reason to not use the MG43 instead.

As someone pointed out in another thread, you always have the option of taking an MG as a "primary" and then choosing a primary weapon that will "support" it vs heavier targets. There's a couple of primaries that can kill targets like chargers reasonably efficiently, and there's always the rest of your stratagems for stuff like bile titans. Of course, this may not be viable in a solo helldive or something, but situational loadouts aren't exactly unusual. Like, the Diligence is bad vs bugs but okay vs bots.
