Light armor with extra padding is the best
Honestly, it was the easiest to do against bots in 9 difficulty.

Tho i do change it with heavy armor with explosion protection when it comes to camping missions.

I feel like the extra stamina and speed is a lot better vs slow and tanky for long missions, since mostly you can just rush trough objectives and gtfo xD

I bought it in premium store for like 250 super credits.

Also the medium with extra padding. Protection of heavy without the negatives.
I really do like the heavy armor even if it makes me slow. During a defense mission today I took a hulk rocket to the chest and I flew backwards, but it only did like 15% of my HP in damage including health booster. That's very tanky, I don't care who you are.

I get a feeling once they drop vehicles heavy armor will look a lot better once you don't have to trudge everywhere.

Its available right now?! I've been waiting for something like that to roll. Light n fast with extra protection would be nice for my loadouts.

Hell yeah, I love heavy armor. The moment I took 5 rockets from a devastator to the chest and brushed it off, I was hooked.

It's nice and all to move fast in light armor, but every time you take any damage against bots you have to spam stims so you're not constantly in 1-shot territory. Against bugs light armor is always going to be the best, but most armors have a role against bots.

When going solo I often take Medium with the Scout perk as I generally work not to be spotted, and the medium affords a bit more protection. That or I run light with stims. (Store) In groups I'm usually rocking Medium with stims. Stim # and duration boost on stamina and health cannot be ignored when you get in a furball.

Light gunner wearer here
i love having the armour rating of medium, with the speed of light
only thing i wonder is if i get the 5% extra damage decrease
From the wording, only armour that is categorised as "medium" offers 5% damage decrease.
So the light gunner armour may have the armour rating of medium, but as it is categorised as light, i think it may not recieve that 5% that true medium armour gets
Still my favourite suit

i think speed of light means something else entirely.

I like it for looks

Been using it for over a month ever before they fixed the armour passive

B-08 Light Gunner, right?

missions where you do not move then the heaviest armor with explosive resistance is obviously the best choice, since you have nowhere to use all the mobility of a light armor.

but on any open-map mission i always go with the ultra-light armor with explosive resistance against bots, or ultra-light with throwing distance (and limb health) versus bugs.

As far as i have read the armor rating in this game works rather deceptively, and is best summarized as "you either stack it to the max or you forfeit it all".

With how much explosive damage robots (and teammates) do i think the 50% resistance to explosions is far more valuable than the measly +50 bonus to armor rating on the light armor.

Hehe, I like how it looks too, like a workman, makes me feel ready to roll my sleeves up and get mucky

I definitely notice a difference coming from scout armour to light gunner, the armour rating is definitely pulling its weight

Hijacking this thread a little - Are there more armours with stealth + ping, other than the two lights and medium you get in the starter warbond?

SC-34 Infiltrator - Light (3 medals)
SC-30 Trailblazer Scout - Light (480 medals)
SA-04 Combat Technician - Medium (710 medals)

Not sure if I've missed any in the store!
