Fire tornadoes are not fun
Title says it all. These things need to be changed or flat out removed. They are not fun AT ALL! I had several fire tornadoes camp a civilian extract for 5 MINUTES! And you can't do anything about it. It makes playing certain modes impossible. Fire tornadoes can also camp the extract which is just unfun. please devs for the love of god, change how fire tornadoes work.

I enjoy fire tornadoes. when you die near a storm of them you get to die 2-3 more times because your hellpod can't get out of the range of flames.

the fire tornadoes giveth, the fire tornadoes taketh away.

i for one enjoy the 3+ minute bathroom breaks whenever fire tornadoes decide to engulf and then sit stationary on the objective console

also, don't forget your mandatory Super Earth kerosene bath before dropping, helldiver!

They're frustrating when they stick to the objective not doing anything. And like most threats in the game they are way too quiet, they should make some noise when they creep up behind you.

TBH i think its because they upped the fire damage, i think it also dose more fire damage to players to. Because before the fire damage update, i could get hit by a tornado and just hit a stim and dive and be good. Now? If i dont dive in less then a second out of the fire, and then use a stim im dead.

Seems fire damage also does more damage to players too.

This is a frustration mechanic, not a challenge mechanic. There's no amount of skill that can get you past a tornado or two sitting on your objective. You just sit and...wait. Kill a few stragglers. Reload all your weapons. check your map, your cooldowns. Ground's still on fire. Run 50m lateral to the objective. Nope ground's on fire here too. They might as well just be lightning bolts that hit your mission clock for time and remove parts of the map. Except that would be more convenient. Now that I'm done writing, lemme check. Ground's still on fire.

Also why do the tornadoes get the cool ground fire flamethrower effect from HD1 and the flamethrower doesn't?

What they need is for the fire trails they leave to burn out more quickly. I've seen it happen way too many times where a tornado would run across an objective, and right before the fire goes out, another tornado rakes across the objective again. And another. Woo hoo, over a minute waiting for fires to burn out.

I thought they were pretty funny.
Once our landing pad got overrun then Fire strom happen and wipe off everything (all teammates, all small bugs) except me, so I run in the ship after using up all my stims.

That was fun...well for me at least since no one else was coming nor their samples.

Absolutely idiotic mechanic.

They seem to lock on to players and follow you around, if it touches you, or if you even happen to toe into the hard to see aoe behind them you are instantly dead.

like this has to be the dumbest thing I've seen in a game in quite some time. They also last forever.

Like how great is it that EVERY single time i extract on this planet there is like 2-3 fire tornadoes just swirling around the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ evac point.

They are also seemingly silent, I've had one lock on to me and just showup behind me with seemingly no warning. Like they are completely anti fun, either tone them down or remove them altogether.

They are. They pose an interesting challenge. I don't like how you die and cannot heal if you even get barely touched though

Been having a problem with there being no visible fire and being burned to death. Hopefully they rework them. I don't care about environmental challenges, but invisible fire is a bit much.

They don't lock onto players they go in random directions. They spawn more as you get through the mission more though (at least that's how it seems). They'll spawn closer, too.
