Helldivers 2 has the worst official Discord server

Helldivers 2 is the worst organized and run official gaming discord server you can imagine.

Every official Discord server dedicated to a multiplayer or co-op game has voice channels. Helldivers 2 does not have it, even though the game encourages teamwork so strongly that it does not implement difficulty scaling to the squad size. Voice channels are the best place to find people that want to communicate and to hear how they behave before you decide to play with them. It's hard to even guess why the CM banned voice channels, probably because it is difficult to have total control over such channels, and commies like the CM don’t like anything that can't be totally controlled.

Every official Discord server dedicated to a multiplayer, or co-op game has text channels for advertising and finding a clan or community. These channels are also banned by the CM. Why? Probably because if you use server as an indoctrination center, every other community is competition for you. This is Diversity in practice.

Moderation in the server is an absolute mess. Vague general rules, different specific rules pinned by different moderators on different channels. Reading the rules is also useless because mods don’t even follow their own rules. As in a good communist institution, most of them are selected on the basis of political affiliation, not honesty or psychological maturity. Moderation role is to wage war on “bigots”. Not only do they ban users who disagree with them, but they even allow woke activists to start a political discussion and then ban just one side.

You cannot use reaction or post images in certain channels if you are not a “regular”. To be a “regular” you must meet certain criteria, but these criteria are not public. However, you can use reactions in announcement channels. To make this a better parody, you won't find clown or eggplant emoji under the posts, although those emojis are available. So, the rumors about the CM removing hateful emojis seem to be true.

Events are held here from time to time where you can watch the administration play games. Out of curiosity, I checked one of them and it was an absolute masterpiece of boredom and awkwardness. Looks like the server is not only used to wage private political war, but also to push the careers of unsuccessful streamers.

This is the clumsiest official game server I have ever seen and is used for all sorts of selfish purposes but not to serve the players.
