Knight SMG
Can we talk about the Knight SMG and it's issues? It doesn't even get a full refill on ammo while it burns its own like nobody's business. Really only usable with armors that lower recoil while crouching and tap firing. Defender bullies it for its lunch money.

they arnt much better IRL.
Honestly just use any other weapon, heck even the Crossbow does better.

Bringing up the Knight for a reason. I'm well aware of better weapons, I'm saying that thing needs life support. Marksman rifles are getting a look at meanwhile this thing just feels forgotten.

Smgs just don't have a niche like in HD1. In HD1 most SMGs had a stunning effect. Paired with their high capacity and fast handling, you could spread that .5 second stun to groups to give your friends easy kills.

They're weird in this game. The knight is uncontrollable and the first unlocked one deals more damage than the ARs. Not only that, it's 1h, can be fired in all directions, and even if it has a 'ranged penalty' it's recovery is so quick that keeping the bullets on target is incredibly easy negating the range penalty.

I feel like it doesn't matter in the end anyways though, since you unlock better stuff pretty quick and stop using SMGs all together.

it's a pay to get exclusive weapons. It's there for pre-order peeps to have something to show for, otherwise devs have a very good reason to keep a weapon only 1% of the playerbase have access to not too powerful.

That's a lousy justification for making a weapon not be respectable. In HD1 the Knight was a good choise. Now it's just a meme choice that at worst needs you to run Ammo pack. I've made setups for it to work and such, but seldom the point.

It's a good choice when paired with the ballistic shield. Only problem is that the ballistic shield is no good against rockets. I do wish they made more one-handed primary weapons though.

The fact that the Knight is supposed to be a futuristic P90 is kind of a bummer since recoil is absurdly strong. Kind of wished they cut back on the firerate so it can be manageable to control.

P90 is the disappointed grandfather of the Knight.

They made itcompletely garbage to avoid p2w complaints but that didn't really work as ppl still ♥♥♥♥♥ about p2w here and there.

It's not even 'niche' and whoever said that is coping super hardcore, it's just bad.

Not all of them, no, but those that don't are explosive. Except Scorcher for some reason, all primaries with a blast radius only gets half from a supply, and a quarter from boxes. These guns also have in common a spare mag count of 12 for some reason.

Punisher and Slugger used to not get full ammo and the patch notes for when it was changed described it as a bug. I think in the case of Knight it's following an older standard of primary weapon balance and the devs just forgot it existed. It does seem like it should be brought to their attention.
