- Eagle Cluster
- Eagle Air Strike or 500kg
- Energy Shield
- Quassar
I use that for solo and coop, and feels like a pretty secure loadout. I got full Eagle (Hangar) upgrades, so I decided to go Eagle x2 instead of Orbital Strikes, but you could choose another option if you don't like those picks. Energy Shield and Quassar are a must (for me) if you wanna go chilling on difficulty 9.
Just personal preferences anyway. Have a nice day!
- Grenade Launcher + Supply backpack for horde/bug breach clearing on arrival.
- Cluster grenade with less fuse time and more radius.
- Eagle Strafing Run
- 500kg Bomb / Laser Cannon / Railcannon for Titans / chargers
Up to Difficulty 7/8 is my go to, as most people run meta loadouts with Quasars to take out heavies. So I focus on horde management and clearance.
I see a lot of different loadouts for bugs so just find one that works for you.
Sure, flamethrower is faster than arc thrower at killing chargers, but Arc Thrower can still kill chargers in a decent amount of shots and sweeps entire hordes and patrols, usually without allowing any to call a breach, and its much safer for the user, and the whole team as long as you know not to fire it at bugs near teammates.
Makes you the best frontliner who actually holds the line, never have to reload or resupply on ammo, which means as long as you're firing downrange, keeping the bugs at bay, you never have to give up ground unless a charger gets through, which usually random teammates bring something anti-tank to delete those anyways. Best for horde clear compared to any machine gun or flamethrower which you have to stop firing for a while to reload or get more ammo, which always gives the bugs ground to overrun your position.
Shield is very useful as it prevents being slowed by stray hits entirely, which makes hunters much more manageable, and with the arc thrower you want to be the one in front so you're at the highest risk of getting hunter pounced. Shield mitigates that.
Beyond that, I bring orbital railcannon, 500kg, or laser to deal with bile titans or fubar situations where you're surrounded by too many heavies, because arc thrower is all the horde clear you should need, especially with the lvl 4 ship upgrade for it. Melts spewers, commanders, all the chaff, so as long as you aren't being overrun by chargers or bile titans everything else is a joke.
Arc thrower can still deal decent damage to bile titans if you have nothing else, so worst case scenario, you can kite it for 20 shots or so. Pairs well with orbital railcannons or 500kgs that don't quite finish the titan, usually only takes 3 or 4 arcs to finish it off.
If I'm feeling funky I'll bring EATs along with arc thrower, been bringing them more to be able to deal with shrieker nests at without needing to get close enough to spawn them.
Primary can be anything, I like punisher for snapshot staggering anything that gets too close. I value crowd control over dps, which is why punisher is better than breaker variants in my eyes.
Secondary is grenade pistol for bug hole utility, otherwise hardly needed or used. Stun grenades for more crowd control when surrounded or to lock chargers in place.
Sorry for the absurd amount of info I'm both autistic and sleep deprived.
Sub - P19/Nade pistol
Nade - Impact
Strats 1 - Quasar
Strats 2 - Laser Rover
Strats 3 - Airbrust/Airstrike
Strats 4 - 500kg/Railcannon
That's one is my easy time set, you can use other Main if you want but I just like Inf ammo.
Lets say you are four guys. Tell everyone to bring an EAT as their strategem and you will find mission goes strangely smooth for example.
Lets say instead you wanna be organized right? Have one guy be a full ANTI ARMOR GUY, then have one dude be the 'Hey aren't you supposed to be anti-armor? FFS! Ok dropping EAT!' guy. He will be regulalrly mad that the AA guy doesn't do his job, but it will still be smooth.
Finally, solo helldive? if you are interested, just take supply pack and learn how to juke attacks and such man. It's actually good advice. like if you really wanna learn, all enemies obey AI. Just look at them, study and before long you will be an expert. I'm not kidding. Be high smart and you will be high pro. The game... this is why I actually like it.
Scout Armour - same as with bots, if you are not detected, you are not being attacked - and if you do it clever you can outrun the enemies' melee
Breaker Incendiary / Sickle - If you have to fight you either want to keep smallfry away, or have no worries about running out of ammo; breaker is also great against shriekers while the sickle is great as sniper replacement with maxed out scope
Senator - matter of preference
Impact Grenade - the go to anti spewer weapon
Shield Generator Backpack - you want this to prevent being slowed by spewers
Quasar - mainly for being able to attack shrieker towers reliably, but works good with anything else as well
Eagle Airstrike - its Eagle One - all that is needed to be said
Orbital Laser - you can use it up to maximum of 12 in a squad, but it is still good as it leaves a burning path behind against bugs - Orbital Railcannon is less good than with bots as Chargers are plentiful - that means the Orbital Laser is truly a Bile Titan / mass crowd control
Boosters as usual in this priority order: stamina, hellpod space opt, muscle enhancement, UAV rec / quick extraction
