Scrythe is more accurate, but you have to be a Rover to aim that good.
Scrythe takes longer to overheat, but not enough to make up for the difference in dps.
Ideas.
Add a headshot aim assist.
Set target on fire.
Scythe is garbage in every way, except that it has infinite ammo.
But in this game you have plenty of ammo from many different sources - calldown, backpack, enviroment boxes, respawning...
So the only selling point of scythe is rendered utterly pointless.
In general though, beams should be excellent at dismembering enemies. They should be able to easily slice through bug legs (many bugs can just lose their legs and keep fighting) and bot arms. I don't know what the limb damage stat is on the scythe/dagger, but it's really not noticeably better than anything else.
