As for the rest, it largely depends on what you are up against and how you like to play.
The shotguns are all pretty good(minus the spray and pray, we dont talk about that one), the breaker in particular is a really good early option against bugs.
Assault rifles are decent but not very impressive in the damage department. The liberator penetrator is decent against bots imo. Don't fall for the explosive AR.
The marksman rifle primary (and best gun all around imo) is the scorcher at the end of the default warbond. Takes a while to get there but it slaps. A close second is the Sickle, the laser AR from one of the premium warbonds.
And then theres the dominator, which is essentially a boltgun.
just depends which flavor of canine droppings you prefer to die with
devs want you to use gems, the guns are basically just there for emergencies
thats that last response i could find from the devs addressing the trash we call primary
You are not. The developers are Arrowhead agree with you. Primary weapons are poo-poo by design. They're "just something you spawn with" but aren't intended to be actually good. For this, you're intended to rely on Strategems. Not Strategem Support Weapons, mind you - those aren't appreciably better than Primaries, accounting for opportunity cost. Supposedly, weapons should still not feel bad to use, but... I mean they do. Most of them, anyway.
There are maybe a handful of weapons that don't feel actively unpleasant to use, mostly shotguns. There's also the Sickle and most recently the Eruptor. The rest are supposed to be "side-grades" but feel like active downgrades.
Vs the other options these weapons demolish enemies with ease. You are always free to use the other guns but they don't compete at all.
If you don't like the primaries just grab a stalwart/MG43. The best primaries in the game lol
I would say you're wrong. Early game you use the Breaker because it's got high damage and you are likely playing vs bugs. This weapon is well suited for the enemies when you should be needing it.
End game the Dominator is an excellent primary weapon vs all bugs below a charger.
Against the bots the Scorcher is a long grind but well worth it. The Eruptor is good but suffers vs the regular bots (but is good to have 1 per squad for either bugs or bots).
I would disagree with this too as the Quasar cannon is good. It kills every "big enemy"and works best when everyone in the squad has one (only two people need to bring them for the whole team).
2 objectively bad weapons are scythe and diligence CS.
Everything else has its niche where it performs great.
There is no and there will be no golden "it is great vs bots and bugs alike, swarms and mediums, precise and full auto" weapon you're all looking for.
The sooner you start to understand what weapons are good against, the less whine will we have to read here.
They're made because very few weapons are good against anything.
why i would take liberator when sickle exist ?
primary arent supposed to be strong, then why eruptor is better than heavy machinegun to kill med armored ?
