Change out the end of mission armor covered in blood...
..to some green bug blood or maybe after fighting bots some black oil on the Helldivers? I think that would look better and make much more sense. Like is the blood yours? Your squad mates? It just looks ridiculous if it was your blood and if it was how did it get on the outside lol. Perhaps add a decontamination chamber or sonic shower to eliminate all the blood on your armor afterwards (yes I know you can swap armors), be much more convenient. It's the little things in life.

red blood was cos of teamkills I reckon.
I always find it's the LOWEST LEVEL teammate that gets the highest teamkill count.

It's not arbitrary, you come out as you are at extraction and I like it much more than coming out clean like I just had a bath before debriefi.
Plus it's nice seeing who's contantly dying and who's covered in others' deaths.

I'm often covered in green, don't remember what bots paint since I don't play them much.

You are covered in green bug blood if you get splattered with green bug blood. Same with oil. If you are just bloody then that means you took damage.

I never said to come out clean, just with something else all over you that would make sense. About it being teammates blood well Its rare that you would kill a teammate close enough to have their blood on you in the first place. Most times it's an errant eagle strike or something else that kills them far enough away. Also like I mentioned how would your own blood get on the outside of your armor anyways? Like did blood start gushing out only to have it defy physics and make a u turn then stick to the outside of your armor? (I know this is a game but I'm playing devils advocate here)

It's your own blood, when you're getting hit you can visually see how bullets blood splatter you, or bug attacks slash at you. We have magical stims that repair all injuries so there's bound to be a lot of visual damage.

There is green blood when you're killing bugs. If you don't take any damage and none of your team mates spray blood on you, you'll come back coated in green blood instead. There doesn't seem to be any equivalent for automatons.

Basically your performance visually reflects your returning looks; if you took a lot of damage but survived to tell the tale, you'll be covered in your own blood. If you killed a lot of bugs close range you'll have their blood splattered all over you too.

just to be clear, the gore defines how close you were to your most recent kills.
- if you're solo-stealth, you'll have zero gore (unlikely for entire mission.)
- if you're reinforced just before extraction, your uniform will be clean.
- green gore means you kill bugs good.
- red gore means, you're a traitor.

I see, well since it serves the purpose you described I guess it makes sense as a measure of damage. But logically.... lol. Anyways thanks for the debate rather then being an insulting troll like most do on here, well played.

I actually like coming back dirty. Makes me feel cool, with the blood and the green goop all over me.

Apparently you can get oil stains from fighting bots, but since you're usually not up close and personal with them (and if you are it's probably a berserker slicing you up and covering you in your own blood), you don't often get to see it.

Yeah I think this is true actually, you can be covered in oil when you do the refuelling missions which made me think about it, but when you're fighting bots its almost impossible to avoid taking hits so you're almost always bleeding which would overpower the black stains with red ones.

Bot oil is red. Bug oil is black.

Bots do not have access to E-710.
