Even Recoilless with self reload achieves better result.
I don't see people using it over EAT much, it did not replaced EAT.
Its just energy variant of it.
If you're good, you can take down Hulks with one shot; otherwise, it takes two shots, totaling 24 seconds. For me, this weapon is one of the most balanced weapons I've ever seen.
It often creates the desire for a higher rate of fire while simultaneously having the power to ensure that you never want to give it up.
For me, as a scout and therefore a player who leaves the others alone, this weapon is an absolute must.
Giant long ass charging time.
Giant long ass recharging.
Being exposed while shooting ( or trying to time it )
Giant drop off damage wise the further away the enemys are ( easily visible on automaton turrets farther away takes up to 5 shots while closer takes 2 )
Sure it doesn't use ammo and allows you to use backpacks, which are one of it's utility advantages.
And best not to forget Aim Droop if you don't FPV/Precision Aim. The circular reticle falls down abit, which you have to remember when just aiming it.
The charge up before firing alone makes it so you have to plan out your attack more. you need enough space between you and any enemies along with enough time to get that shot off. and even if you do...if the enemy even so much and shuffles on terrain geometry your shot can miss the weakspot.
Compared to the EAT or RR which you can just point and click even in the tightest of situations and be effective.
Not true, it doesn't have damage drop off from my experience. I have been practically across the map and can 2 shot a turret for my team. If you cant see the back i have been able to 2 shot it by hitting the left(players left) most cheek from the front, or pumping 2 shots into its side towards the rear of the turret. Only times my initial shot hasn't caused the turret to start burning is if I hit it centre mass.
It needs to charge up before firing while EAT can fire almost immediately
It doesn't need a backpack but can't be team reloaded and have to wait between shots, it's also a set amount of time that's independent of extreme heat or extreme cold weather conditions unlike what the heatsink may lead you to believe
Biggest advantage is probably that it doesn't require any ammo, lets you use it in prolonged engagements without the need to resupply and lets you keep on a move for longer
Anything is better than railgun right now
