How to kill factory striders?

I threw 2 500kg bombs and an orbital laser right on top of one, but it still didn't die. Lost the mission and the strider still looked fine. The most damage I did was to take out the top turret with a quasar cannon. I couldn't find any weak spot, so how are you supposed to kill them?

Shoot off machine guns under head. Shoot head slit like every other bot. Also heatsinks or joints on legs. Supposedly you can also blow it up by shooting inside the fabricator when the devastators come out, but I've yet to do it myself.

Pretty simple, orbital laser just seem to do the job in a single go for me.

Outside of that there are weak spots. You can destroy it's factory by shooting weak spots on the top of it but it;s hardly worth it since you need to get on top of it.

If I recall correctly you can destroy front face guns with any med armor pen weapons. You can also use EAT or other heavy hitting weapons to take down rocket pods on the top.

As for killing it, there is a weak spot on the face, a facehole, which can be shot at to take it down but you need med armor pen. Or you can use med pen weapons to shoot it's knee joints to take it down.

i used the same method for bile titan except without 500kg p00p.

You break it's 2 minigun, go under it and unload your medium penetrating weapon on it until it explodes. Takes less than 10 autocannon shots, 2 EAT/Quasar/RR shots, Dominator weirdly works and a bunch of other stuff.

If you want the chicken method, just throw eagle airstrikes at it, preferably from it's side. If you can land all 7 bombs on it, it will die in a single strike.

If you want the coward's method, you use the orbital laser and hide in a corner until it's erased.

A single Orbital rail strike will take down a factory strider in one strike 99% of the time. The exception is when your destroyer is at a terrible angle for the rail gun and it doesn't get a proper lock.

It has two main weak spots:
1) The head of it has a front eye and visor (for lack of a better word), hit it with any anti-armor weapon and you'll put a hurtin on it.

2) the Factory itself underneath it is a serious weakspot. You can rush it with an autocannon and nuke it, or with two shots from any of the AT weapons, or with sustained laser cannon fire...the list goes on. Dangerous to get in there and you'll probably need to kill the forward guns first, but very doable.

EDIT: A direct hit from an Orbital Precision Strike/380 barrage is also a one-shot kill on it.
