Maintenence needs to happen. we all know when its going to happen, even my wife knows when its goign to happen and she has only a handful of games. This system is the best tbh. ITs like clockwork.

I drop the SSD hard drive and told other three that we can grab another one. That's when until I lost connect to the server...Like, damn. I just had a game plan. :(

They update and restart on Tuesday. AKA maintenance. Tuesday is the main day for companies to release new products, content, updates, etc.

steam weekly server reboots always happen at the same time, sadly some games go down with it and some dont, games that dont use dedicated servers go down, games that use dedicated servers will not be useable to connect to a new match until its back, but they generally wont just disconnect mid game allowing you to finish the current match atleast

The game relies on Steam Cloud so whenever Steam is on maintenance, ie Tuesday, Helldivers 2 goes down too.

But here's my advice to the devs, DO NOT AUTO-DISCONNECT WHEN

1) You lose connection temporarily, add a timer to retry connection

2) Your ip changes cuz VPN, when retrying for connection, check if ip changed and if so, update and reconnect to that ip.

3) When an unessential service like Steam Cloud is on maintenance, data can be stored on PC to then be uploaded when the service is back.

No need to restart your PC. Steam will automatically reconnect you. If you want to try to force a connection, try to connect to an online game and when it tells you it couldn't sync, then cancel.

I agree. No clue why it completely rips you out of the game and gives you no option to reconnect.
