disappointing to see that each planet is a replica template
the planets all felt unique at first, but after new systems open & close, you see the same exact "Planet Template X" used for multiple planets, for example for Estanu in the bug sector and Lesath in the bot sector.

It's an expected thing in gaming, but a crappy one, and I thought we were better than that but I was wrong.

Same thing how warframe works. Most 2d rogue likes with ever-changing maps do this.

Boss planets, likely 4 or so, one for each faction plus super earth, that will have entirely unique looks. I hope cyberstan or wherever they put the boss bot planet, I hope it looks like cybertron. I hope the bug homeworlds look like huge beehives and it's a 3d environment with huge vericality. I hope super earth is just FULL of skyscrapers and smaller internal buildings and corridor fights, underground subways and sky-touching magrail trains.

are they actually "hundreds of worlds" when they all look the same? Planet #1 with global red and fire.... Planet #2 with global brown and dust... etc..

Yeah for all the mission types 80% of them are traversing a flat open field or the same jungle with slightly different flora and weather effects.

Helldivers doesn't really change, same gameplay loop always and drip feed of decent content very slowly. I think you mean to say Helldivers planets open for combat cycle out and you enjoy the cycling. As opposed to games where it is static and everything is open 24/7 like say Warframe. The enemies are really the same just add more of them every few updates it seems. Only new thing was added aerial type enemy which is cool. Worlds only change due to the cycling out of what can be fought on. Missions are the same ones over and over just a pick of which ones you feel like are worth doing. Exterimante either bugs or robots. Launch a nuke robots or bugs? Get oil from bugs or evac civis from robots? It is very consistent.
Do you enjoy being so pedantic or is it habitual?
Its great you think i'm an expert in this subject at such a degree it annoys you.

Being pedantic does not make you an expert, if anything it's the opposite. Don't blow yourself too hard

You don't see it coming?
I don't dream for a second that EACH planets will be unique, there just gonna be a biome template, but as long as it's diverse enough (think 10 or more?) isn't fine?

oh no dont point out legit problems with the game the fan boys will attack you lol! jokes aside yep the game is basic and pretty ♥♥♥♥ tbh and what is here dosent work as the devs intend lol if you download unreal engine 5 open game creator and load basic map you basically have the helldivers map minus a few extra duvets rocks and foliage its the same fish bowl round map!

I do hope we get some more planet types in the future.

You're barking up the wrong tree. These guys aren't Square Enix or Nintendo my dude. They are babies by comparison. If you wanna complain about things like this, then save it for the companies that actually have teams large enough to generate that diversity.
You should really take some time to educate yourself about the development team before criticizing them. You clearly don't have a clue what you are talking about when complaining.

I will be severely disappointed if Cyberstan is not a urban hellscape when we go to take it back. In HD1 it felt like a industrialised rocky moon which is cool but a pure urban warfare admist a massively industrialised cold planet would be cool.

You do realize that literally every planet has had standardized Human settlements on them for the past 100 years right? That's like complaining that every city in America has big building, or the same stop-light setup.

You can immediately tell the difference between Toronto, Tokyo, New York, Chicago, Duabai, Paris, London etc...

Eh, I can see the disappointment for sure. With that said, the "copies" between bots and bugs are different enough that it isn't too bad. Hellmire vs menkent for example, is quite different, but it is clear that they are copies. Hellmire has much smaller rock formations, where as menkent seemingly has huge ones. Different hue of color between them as well.

Not trying to convince you of anything really, but there are some significant differences within the 'copy'.

Yes
You got to pay more than 40 bucks for that.
