The reinvasion of cyberstan is disappointing
P.S. since i'm ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ sick of seeing people think i want bots to be removed from the game forever. I'm saying a longer break, and introduction of illuminate. Read the damn post jesus ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ christ.

I feel super winded by bots just instantly returning and capturing entire sectors instantly.

I always believed the major order was completely pointless and wouldn't lead to more content like many believed it would. And safe to say after today i think i'm completely right. Whats the point in wiping out an entire faction if they're going to be gone for all of a day.

A better option in my opinion and one that would have made the whole scenario more interesting. Is the illuminate seeing the bots wiped out decide to step in and eradicate super earth. Then say a week into the war with illuminate the bots show up. Attacking from the opposite side the illuminate are in a pincer attack. Claiming both cyberstan and encroaching on super earth after making a pact to eradicate the helldivers.

I was a bit "cba" with things after seeing every single major order was just bots bots bots bots bots bots bots bots. Seeing we were about the wipe them out was genuinely exciting. But i see now it meant ♥♥♥♥ all and now i really just cant be arsed. Off to bug planets i go unless this recent patch with no patch note has something interesting on bots.

Nope nothing about bots, also no medals for MANY users for the past two major orders. Also zero communication from the devs. But hey they "fixed" all the crashing! (Yeah right lol)
They legit were gone for a few days. It made a bunch of bot-only people mad too which was funny.

We'll be able to beat them back again I'm sure if we keep at it.

They were gone for a single day.
We're being retaliated against for only a few hours, give it a few days and see how things unfold.

Narrative seems to be we did not "wipe out" the bots as a faction at all, merely pushed back their expeditionairy force and now they swing their (full?) actual weight against us

Let us be patient to see what happens, also, lets hurry up and dig trenches in the meantime.

I mean, we knew this was coming. There were serious hints at it in the dispatches from operation swift disassembly, and if you've played helldivers 1 you not only know that cyberstan is of significance to the bots, but we also haven't seen a homeworld invasion for them. the "point" if you will, is the story. I realize not everyone is going to care about this, but the war effort is narrative driven. Some of us actually like the idea that there's campaigns, setbacks, surprise attacks, sudden reversals, and victories against all odds.

Also, why in the world would the illuminate help the bots? There's no overlap between the two factions, if anything, the illuminate probably wary of the hyper-militarized rival power.
I think the issue is that players are "too good." I think the only campaign we lost was the offensive after the TCS got activated. I would love to be on a fighting lose right now as the bots start from the outerrim and push us to where we are now, but I think they're trying to balance it between "giving us an experience" and "giving us story."

We can probably win the current order, but I think that people would complain a lot more if we were losing and made it to this point. People complain all the time about the hand of Joel and not letting players just wipeout all factions in 2 months of release.

AH keep proving they have 0 ability to think forward about how this would make players feel.

We just lost 3 sectors, and only have 3 defense missions?
Why not just throw 8 defense missions at us?
We will win 1-2, but we WILL be thrown back.
At least it would feel organic.

The pop up was like "oh yeah, so they invaded and it took HOURS for us to lose!"

lol terrible lore, and yeah proves the MO and progression was 100% BS.

Players control nothing in this game anymore.

Ehhhhhhhhh.
I don't enjoy the whole.
"The story"
Their updates have been 3 sentences of "yah bots ar coming, lessss gooooo"
....that is not a story.

A cinematic?
A few PARAGRAPHS?
A popup like eagle sweat explaining the whole war up to this point?
THOSE would be actual stories.

As it stands 99% of this games lore, was written by fans on Youtube and comment sections.

lol Devs keep dropping the ball

Previous battle reports indicate that the simple cause for the withdrawal from some planets lies inherent to the condition that helldiver tend to spread themselves out too much. In this way, we prove able to center and focus our efforts onto a single planet.

We suffered heavy casualties in the defense of Cyberstan, and the ships under my oversight only narrowly escaped the invading fleets.

We will reclaim Cyberstan. We must reclaim Cyberstan.

Holy glazing.
I Agree a victory should have more meaning then 2 days without bots. At least some weeks would be the right time.
