(Updated) On Receiving Major Order Rewards
There are a lot of threads being made about users not receiving major order rewards right now so here is a quick explanation on what will happen. Major order warbond medal rewards are usually rolled out within a couple of days to a week after a major order completes, it can sometimes take a bit longer. All that can be done in the meantime is to keep logging in to check and be patient.

Or perhaps they should fix their busted system, they have no issues rolling out new orders and patches on a weekly basis but they don't know how to toggle an if statement?

It appears that the rewards are an automated system that takes time to verify and get around to every user who participated in the major order, I do agree it is frustrating but we have to hope devs are working to fix it

I dont get why it's not like a personal order.

I'm sure there's obviously a very well reasoned argument and all the proper documentation explaining why major orders are magnitudes more difficult.

I just got the recent MO reward for 35, but I'm still out the previous 50.
Kind of makes me worry....

You haven't been paying attention in your entitled outrage it seems. Dev's last game had 6k players on at any given time. They planned for a maximum total of 200k players, which is a ludicrous amount to plan for given their past games.

When they had more than 200k people coming in, the system started to buckel, as it never was designed to have that many players. Ever since release the Dev has been trying to rework the entire backbone of the game to accomodate their unexpected success.

They hired new people, who likely haven't even been at the company for a month, and have to be brought up to speed from scratch as Helldivers uses a highly customized engine. They installed mitigation services, such as delayed reward roll outs in order to ensure everyone gets their stuff, and we get to play, without the server crumbling.

Considering the situation, which we only know about because the devs were super honest about it, it is a miracle that we already don't have any more problems than a few delayed reward roll outs.

It isn't just an if statement. Its checking the database against hundreds of thousands entries for each of the hundreds of thousand players, hitting the database at once.

I know you think you are the main character of reality, but existence doesn't just revolve around you. At this very moment over 175000 players play on Steam alone, allegedly the game is even more successful on Playstation. Each of those players sending queries to the server. Each query requiring a data base check.

It isn't just checking YOUR data. It is likely allowed to check X amount of pay outs per hour or whatever, to keep the servers from melting. You'll get your medals.

They manage to distribute points immediately with personal orders. There's no reason not to use the same basic system for MOs.

It's been like this for over a month. Everyone got their medals eventually, but sure, if you have to find a reason to be angry about something, have at it.

Now mind you, i don't know how they do it exactly, but unlike Personal Orders, which you get as soon as you return to your ship, there is the high possibility that you won't be online when the Major Order is completed.

Personal Order can be ran entirely on Client Side. Tell the Client what it needs to track and when the tracker is full, report to the mother ship and the mothership says "yeah, still time on the clock, give them the medals", which is why you get them after you complete the mission (and only if you complete the mission, if you get kicked you lose mission progress)

Meanwhile Major Orders have to be tracked entirely on the Server... and each time you get online or complete a mission it would needs to check if you are eligible for a reward. These are multiple queries, likely it is one to check if you already got it and one to check if you even qualify, at the very least.

An easier solution is a system where each hour, when the server has spare capacity, it goes through a list of players eligible at the time, and then deposits the medals in a temporary folder attached to your character's data entry and crosses them off its list. Then whenever your Client reports in with the Mothership it can simply say "hey there are medals waiting for you". Much fewer queries and less strain on the server than having to check if you are eligible each and every time you do anything.

An update from community manager Twinbeard in the official Discord: “ Greetings, everyone @here !

For those of you asking about outstanding medals:

Medals for two of the latest three major orders have now been shipped. The last remaining batch will roll out <t:1712739600:R> (if Hammertime does its thing; if not, 11.00 AM CET April 10th).

We will also do an overhaul in the future of the system handling these requests, as it's frankly about as reliable as a solar-powered watch in Malevelon Creek.”
