I like the firestorms just the way they are, sometimes you just can't get GOODER and simply being unlucky is your downfall, luckily it's just a game and you have many lives.
I love the storms in this game but the fire tornadoes are simply too much and way too annoying the way they programmed it, it should be random and not spawn or follow the players.
I'll be fighting on Fori Prime.
Play a solo mission and try to do an objective while the tornadoes are active. It's not luck, they literally have AI. The tornadoes "walk" the same paths as the bugs lol. Seems to be 1 goes for you while the others try and wall off your escape paths with fire. I'm not saying it should be changed, just that it's definitely like that
They appear 'randomly' right on top of you. Spawn 'randomly' every single time you extract and then path 'randomly' as they track and follow you better than any bug swarm ever seen
You should polish your reading comprehension skills.
He wrote nothing about difficulty. He wrote that:
- They appear at inopportune times (like extraction)
- They block areas making you wait
- They add nothing (well, debatable)
- They are time wasters (often true)
If a fire tornado engulfs a console - there is nothing you can do about it but wait.
If a fire tornado puts the extraction area on fire - there is nothing you can do about it but wait (unless you get lucky and the fire dissipates enough for a path to be visible).
Same thing with civillian escort missions.
The problem isn't the difficulty but the nuisance.
I would prefer if:
- The tornadoes were truly random and not following the player
- Instead of occupying an area they would move randomly in a general direction, like from east to west.
- Sometimes the could occupy an area BUT not a mission objective or extraction point.
- If the above were true then I wouldn't mind if there were more of them.
2 were on blitzes and it was just awful, no time to back off. They seemed to create no go zones all round the extract one even just wanted to basically sit infront of the ramp when the eagle arrived, and on one 2 players I'm guessing quit being fed up with it even though we were are extract
Not sure whether I'd like them to just add some cool down to them or make them move like said above. Or maybe they could just add some fire resistant gear like we have with arc gear, it'd be great for fire planets and flamer builds.
