Use area clearing stratagem before they get close.
Run.
Use scout armor and sneak around the map avoiding encounters.
Stun nade is pretty handy for large growds of them.
Shoot their face up close should be a 1 shot with most shotguns as well.
Do you mean the stalkers?
Spam dives if you've been hit, if you don't have an attack animation headed your way when you land you can stim. If you do, don't delay your next dive.
Sickle also sucks balls - Leaves on shrubs say haha u gun is usless now.
Any kind of foliage renders the gun in-effective, it also lacks any form of stopping power against even the slightest of armor, usually team killing from ricochette. Even the liberator level 1 divers are supplied with are more usefull than sickle users. Just tired of bugs. Bring Automatons back, game instantly better that way.
Bugs in general just feel like for how tanky they are and how much damage they do there are WAY to many that swarm you, the flamer can kill the smallest little ones in about 2-3 seconds of fire, but a hunter will take about 4-5, easily enough to have jumped on you, taken 1/3rd of your health, knocked you over, and slowed you down.
I'm just looking forward to Automatons, we were doing suicide missions for them and winning while having fun, Termanids we are back on hard and just frustrated.
More like 1 hit. They have about 110ish hp, but like all enemies each individual hit location has its own HP pool, which is why you can shoot them multiple times without killing them.
Unless you are confusing Stalkers for Hunters. Stalkers, the invisible ones, obviously have more HP. But you can one shot each hunter with a shotgun easily.
By understanding how they work. Hunter's try to flank you. If you aim directly at them, they jump side to side, trying to get outside of roughly a 90° cone of vision from you. You can manipulate this behavior, by deciding which direction they will jump for them. They will jump in the direction that is shortest to get them outside your vision cone, so they can flank you.
So if you want them to skip left, you aim at their right side. If you want them to skip right, you aim at their left.
Only times they come directly at you, is if they are in "charge" distance. That is when they will jump at you.
When they get into flanking position, they will advance, just like they will advance if surrounded by other bugs (including other hunters).
Kill the closet bug to you, by trying to move backwards and keep them from flanking. Be aware that they will skip right or left when you aim at them and hold your fire until they side-skip, then kill them at the end of their skip. They do have a short cooldown before they can skip again. If you are aware of how they skip, you can nail them in the brief window after they skipped, as they will be immobile for a second.
When they are on top of you... change to your sidearm and high volume of fire. Sidearms are more easy to aim, faster to reload (unless you dropped with the Senator)
