Fix the fire damage? Please? Pretty please?
Finally fix the rocket ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, only to buff the ever loving ♥♥♥♥ out of bots fire damage so that flamethrowers and the suicide bots essentially one shot you.

No one uses the flamethrowers because of a bug of only the host doing flame damage, so you see no one using it, so you buff flame damage so people would use it. now bots are back to being ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ again.

Just fix it, for the love of god. I'd like to play the game for more than a day without having to deal with some ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥

Use your invincibility frames: diving.

Anybody who try to heal themselves thru fire instead of just diving, which instantly put out the flames, just don't deserve my attention. I know that your reaction time has been reduced with the current boost to fire damage but still haven't died from it yet. Funnily enough.

except in the new patch. the first tick of fire damage from a hulk would instantly kill you. you dont have any time to dive. it has never done this before. before you would survive a lot longer so you have more time to dive.

except in the new patch. the first tick of fire damage from a hulk would instantly kill you. you dont have any time to dive. it has never done this before. before you would survive a lot longer so you have more time to dive.
Again, didn't notice a difference.

You still get instantkilled by any firedamage.

Its total jank and needs to be fixed.

one shot from hulk fire damage has never been a thing. idk what you are talking about. this is literally new in this patch. watch ohdough's recent heavy armor testing.

meaning that people had time to put the flames out. which the new damage of hulk never gives players the ability to do so

i dont know how much you've played this game. but i have NEVER been one shot by a flamethrower hulk before. there's plenty of them in eradication missions. so i would know that i have never been one shot by it. stop spreading misiniformation saying that it has always done that. it hasnt.

Just search the forums here and you'll find plenty of matches, months old, stating that you can easily get one shot by Hulks fire damage if the alignment is right.

You're just telling me that you have absolutely no idea of what you are talking about. This is pretty much launch day behaviour we're discussing here. The only thing which has been increased is the damage per tick for fire damage.

you are the ones that dont know what you are saying. i have been playing for a long time and i have never been one shotted by it consistently

Yes fire damage is completely messed up. From instant death from Hulks, to your own weapons having no effect, they need to test things more thoroughly out in the wild and not on their LANs where maybe this isn't an issue. I tested all the fire weapons online in other people's games and then solo and yes, bugs etc just walk through flames unharmed unless I'm hosting. A pretty huge oversight and should be one of the priorities to fix or just at least admit.

Yes it's still possible to survive catching fire, but the speed at which it kills you is utterly nonsensical. Even if someone was wearing a suit made of papyrus doused in gasoline and then caught on fire, they wouldn't die that fast. The reasonableness of it is what we're discussing here, not the gaming strats about how to circumvent such dumb mechanics.

i think it's not just hosting. because i encountered the no fire damage bug when im hosting. but i also was able to deal fire damage when i wasnt hosting. so there's something with that.

i think it's not just hosting. because i encountered the no fire damage bug when im hosting. but i also was able to deal fire damage when i wasnt hosting. so there's something with that.

There's a rumour the original creator of the squad isn't always the network host. Some folks tested having players jump in and out of missions and one player would do full damage with fire, the others wouldn't, even if original host left.

You're doing it wrong.
Make a youtube and ticktock short about how fantastic the flamethrower damage is, make sure to use the words "meta" and "overpowered" as much as possible.
Within 24h you will see changes.

that makes sense why it is inconsistent on my side then. because i almost always host my games. and sometimes the DoT damages work and sometimes they don't. interesting.
i might stop using DoT damage until they fix this
