Fix the fire damage? Please? Pretty please?
Finally fix the rocket ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, only to buff the ever loving ♥♥♥♥ out of bots fire damage so that flamethrowers and the suicide bots essentially one shot you.

No one uses the flamethrowers because of a bug of only the host doing flame damage, so you see no one using it, so you buff flame damage so people would use it. now bots are back to being ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ again.

Just fix it, for the love of god. I'd like to play the game for more than a day without having to deal with some ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥

They increased fire damage per tick by 50% in patch 01.000.200, making players die in about a second after catching fire. It has not yet been returned to a normal amount.

Yeah this really needs to be fixed. Being one shotted or being flung around every second and getting back up and you happen to be on fire is really irritating. You cant recover from it in most cases.

Or rather than nerfing fire damage it'd be nice to have a fire resistant suit

Won't change the fact that if you aren't wearing one, you'll die in under 1 second from fire damage from whatever source. Dying almost instantly from walking into fire is just nonsensical. I think that if they're gonna keep the fire damage per tick as it is now to make fire more viable against enemies, they should give players some base resistance against fire.

Yeah well in this case just give players base fire resist. It makes no sense to die from catching fire so fast.

I mean even if one was to wear a suit made of papyrus doused in gasoline and catch fire they wouldn't die that fast. On top of that, military equipment has been made to be fire resistant for like 100 years irl ffs.

can someone tell me what exactly is causing fire damage? The Hulk Scorcher is fire, but sometimes the little bots catch me on fire and it seems random?
I cant even react to stim... especially if I get knocked down its no chance.

Also, sometimes even with armor the rockets will one shot me. I think the resistance is calculated after damage is received. So if you have 100 health and a rocket does 100 dmg, it will kill you before your resistance is calculated. But, if you get hit for 90 and have 50% resist and 100 total hp then it will do 45 dmg.

unless the devs dont know how to code, they should be able to lessen the damage we take back to original. dying in one tick of fire damage is stupid.

not to mention that the fire damage is sometimes bugged that enemies wont take fire damage at all.

They need to up players resistance to burning, this will fix the issue.

tbh now im having my doubts as well. wonky nonsensical balancing(slugger is performing like a sniper! *nerfs it so it would act more of a sniper now* ???). every patch there is a new bug or crash that isn't hotfixed? usually those are hotfixed.
i dont even know if they research about guns either. the HMG being a scope only gun(with misaligned red dot lmao) is weird... unless that is also another bug that they haven't fixed yet. also a small nitpick of the SMG primary having more damage than the AR... arent SMGs usually carrying small calibers? so it should be the gun that has faster RoF but weaker damage compared to AR?

the rocket damage is still incredibly inconsistent..

Fire being able to headshot you and instant kill you through heavy armor is a very strange design choice. I have never once seen a game that gives flamethrowers, player used or otherwise, weak spot damage.
