How about flag stickers/badges on Helldivers?

Capes are given, period. But how about nationality flag badges on the Helldivers' arm? In this way, you could express yourself, like you're a Unites States Helldiver, Brazilian Helldiver, Romanian Helldiver, so on. This way, they can add the flags so many people want and don't want, so they can "finally" express themselves they want. Would it cause hate? Probably, but the Devs can finally rest from the hate they get. If you teamkill players based on their nationalities and "nationalities", that's on you. You can kick them, or they can leave, host their own game.

I know, Helldivers 2 is my current favorite game with everything maxed out. However, it's really sad to see the Dev team get so much hate for something like this, and in my opinion; rainbow capes would be too much.

This game takes lots of pride in its aggressively consistent world building. Simply put, it doesn't make any sense to add flags of ANY pre-Super Earth nation, religion, or sexuality.

Super Earth exists as a conflict free world. The issues we have with LGBT stuff today were settled at some point in a definitive way. Doesn't matter whether it was obliterated or completely accepted because the flag of Super Earth represents everyone. Frankly it's for the best that Arrowhead doesn't directly answer that question.

The issues of the past don't matter anymore. There is no Russia or Ukraine. There is no Trad-Christains vs. the LGBT. There is no Queen of England. There is just Super Earth, united under one purpose of providing liberty and democracy for all who salute the flag.
