What can you do against double gunship towers?
Literally impossible if two spawns next to each other, the rate they spawn, needing explosives to be killed and constantly calling in bot drops, you just die, lose the means to kill them and by the time you're close enough to call in hellbomb they spawn in and magically know exactly where you and the hellbomb are, if by some miracle it does go off it doesn't even destroy the towers, super bugged. Every single game is perfect until these gunships comes along and suddenly you're down 20 reinforcements and there is absolutely nothing you can do about it and you can't ignore it either cause it's right next to main objective.

Seriously thinking about quitting the game if the devs pulls more bs like this, they don't seem to care at all about their game since they're so inclined to destroy it with untested content, bugs that are game breaking and aren't getting fixed and the indefinite crashes all the time, and the focus on new content rather than fixing everything.

It's not that hard. Do better.

I heard somewhere something about dropping a shield generator to protect you and the hellbomb.

Doesn't work, all 4 of us had shield gens, they shoot through it with ONE attack and it also blocks the hellbomb explosion, or it was glitch towers, dunno, game broken

it's a wonderful lesson in that, if you don't have to fight there, don't. We got slaughtered on Suicidal going from 20 -> 5 reinforcements trying to take down those twin gunship fabricators. Our main mission was to deliver SSSD.

Each tower spawns two at a time. Have two or three guys focus on blowing up ships, and one guy arm the bomb. If you fail, back off about 200m from the towers then clean up the gunships and try again.

Even if you don't die, if the gunships get out of hand you want to get 200m away then kill them off so more don't spawn as you destroy them. Otherwise you're going to have a bad time and bleed reinforcements.

3 guys kill the tower, one guy stays back with the spear.

Drops suppy next to him. Sometimes, when the weapon is ready to drop, you can also drop another spear.

3 guys go in, do the job, 4th spear guy sits back and happily one shots all gunships at 50 miles.

i found an anti-material rifle to one of the thrusters seems to work fine in taking the gunships down

Laser cannon is godsent vs them. Can take all 4 of them on one beam mag if you aim properly.

Have one person provide anti-air(autocannon turret works too if nothing else nearby) and another person hellbomb each facility literally next to it.

I find them a bit buggy. One of the last missions, we ran into one of these fabrication bases, dropped a hellbomb. It cooked off. Nothing. 3 Hellbomb attempts it took. We were placing the hellbombs basically next to the towers. We eventually blew them up but I'd say the game makes them quite.. hardy.

Due to the way servers calculate explosion rays, it can be better to drop them further from the target. The radius is really big anyway, so dropping 10m away is little different to 1m away, and less change of random bits of rock blocking damage.

I thought unlocking helldive solo was going to be challenging when they buffed the eradicate missions, then they go and do this just as I nail those down.

Today I finished 2 out of 3 rank 8 missions solo, an eradicate and an airbase, only to be dropped on a POI with three heavy devastators within spawn range of two gunship towers.

As you can imagine by the time I dealt with the devastators and their rocket infantry friends, I was spawn camped by gunships before I could even deploy a support weapon.

The struggle continues.
