if the people responsible for settings would leave them alone it wouldn't be boring.
but they do mess with settings based on feelings.
I don't recommend anything from this company.
But do what you want.
The devs do add new things to the game to mess with every other week and ofc the Gm keeping the game somewhat fresh with new objectives and enemy types to kill does prevent the feeling of doing the same thing over and over again from setting in to fast unlike alot of other games
This game replayabillity is pretty good.
For me, it's another once of those "Eh, I guess i have an hour or so to use up" type of games.
(even right now there is a game breaking bug caused by the last patch that will crash you on your 2nd missions during extraction.. devs know.. they wont do anything until next patch week.. meaning a full weekend of crashes)
They found out the the patch notes are always missing a bunch of stuff that the devs leave out on purpose.
All the environmental difficulty things they add to the game arent fun, its kinda like just thrown in there without thinking about the player, or it is thought about but in a testing mentality where the players are lab rats.
But id say that the game is missing a whole bunch of quality of life stuff.
- From friends lists not working, missing names or not updating or unable to join their games.
- Recent players list in a jumbled order.
- Host kicking mechanics.
- friendly fire with no actual court marshal mechanics.
- janked player reporting methods.
- quickplay connections, and the failing SOS.
- People who join mid mission that can remove the weapons from the host thats still happening months later and has been around since launch.
- missing rejoin buttons.
- no gun range.
- no shower.
- Fog.
- Safe Modes that are useless.
- Guard dogs that kill your team and you.
- having to use the armory to pick your emote instead of a radial menu.
- Desync issues that let only the Host have full ability to enjoy the game making some things not work properly for the other members of the squad, like gas dot damage or fire dot damage or trying to kill stuff with your drop-pod that will only work properly if youre host.
- the lack-luster visuals of the galactic war map and the planets health bars.
- Even support stratagems if used enough can force crash players.
Just to name a few things.. theres plenty more..And then repetitiveness of the combat (about 40 hours worth of playing will start to see it), because there are only so many patrols that appear out of thin-air instead of them coming from a factory or bug hole, along with the increased spawn rates even though you have decimated the entire region of the enemy on the map.. but they will continue coming and in much bigger numbers because.. Sony.. or something right..
And don't ask people about the Civilian rescue missions..
Its all pretty interesting to be apart of, even knowing about the game engine we play on is 8 years out-of-date and not receiving updates or future support.
I have over 100 hours and I'm still having a blast. Play it friends for maximum fun.
