Because its going to become a meme that HD players constantly ramble on the forum about how this or that weapon isnt good, ignoring that they only play 50% of the game.
The Scorcher is possibly the strongest primary weapon in the game against Bots.
You can mitigate the ammo problem with a supply pack. It damages with AoE and kills every Bot in the game if you use it right.
It rips through armor, you can use it to kill Scout Striders, it cant be deflected because its an energy projectile weapon.
Its also garbage against bugs.
Just make sure to pack a secondary or support weapon with lots of ammo xD
On the one hand it got underwhelming damage and ammo so it struggles with the trash but because of its damage type and permeation (not penetration) its actually good at killing beefier targets.
I personally prefer the diligence in the "less bullets, more oomph" role when I play against bots (or just use sickle because its a monster) as it can reliably kill normal bots with a single chest shot up to ~100 meters while scorcher needs 2 chest shots even on short range (I guess the bot health is somewhere between 101 and 111 if chest means 100% damage is dealt, scorcher 100 dmg & R63 at 112 dmg)
