Were all 80 of your missions on Helldive? I pretty much exclusively play on Helldive and the 250% exp bonus is what helps most, not the number of missions. And I think I was either late 60s or early level 70s after the cap was raised.
Wrong.
If there was no cap people would play limitlessly. I am stopping the game because there it feels like now there is nothing to earn. I will come back for the warbond. Finish it, then be out of action until the next. Ergo, if there was no cap I’d keep playing between warbonds.
I agree that the resource caps are a unique choice, but it’s clearly an intentional limit on grinding by the developers. I don’t think it’s too problematic with how easy resource grinding is.
Different things motivate different people. I just play for fun, the resources don’t really mean all that much.
So i dont see the argument.
It didnt matter. Even on Hard i would gather enough XP with only 40 misisons to reach lvl 60.
And as said, i have higher playtime than the ones saying it tracked. Typically do all objectives too, not 100% of the bases though.
But again, that wouldnt matter. I think we know the XP you get is enough.
For diff. 7-9 you get a level about every 4-5 missions?
Well, doesnt matter, its just a number.
What counts is how many you kill.
Exp was also an intentional decision to have capped at 50. It was also a mistake. The issue is that the caps are far too low. 250 wouldn't even scratch page 10 of the initial warbond.
Think about it this way. If I have already earned over 3500 medals in the month and a half since the game released, and I have all samples capped, am already 25 levels over the original level cap and have played the game to death, the only thing left to motivate me, and to maintain interest in your live service is to repeat what I have already done, yes?
Well to further motivate and incentivise me, reward me for my time with medals which my little, smoothbrain can dream of one day spending. Let me be a good little saver banking my efforts.
So before the cap, this was the kind of mission and level of exp I was getting each time, (I remember I got a new controller at the time and wondered what this new middle button did - turns out it took a screenshot) I just found it and uploaded it for you.

Yeah ive always found that a really dumb argument for any grind heavy system. Unless your a crazy person that makes a single game their personality.
