premium warbonds are not a "good way" to monetise
i have a job, and college, i CANNOT collect enough credits ina reasonable time to get new drops, for 34 quid this isnt a fair system to release new weapons.

full time worker/student here, I looked up a guide to farm credits and I got 1000 credits in 1 hour, I can explicate exactly how if you like
i mean... yeah if you exploit. Exploiters ruin everything for the average player.
exploiting the premium currency affects the average player how?

He already paid for those with the 40€, no need to slurp slurp corporates. You are enabling f2p schemes on paid games, something people warned about for a long time

This. A full priced game should not have micro-transactions in it.

if you cant grind its because you work... if you work you have the money i dont see the broblem.

Well he is in college. So he probably will never have the money to afford gaming because he will be too busy paying off that college debt.xD

The cool part is that no one is forcing you to use the new gear. Its not a PVP game where you might lose a competitive edge by not having it. You can easily do any difficulty with the standard guns. Think of it as a DLC for new stuff, which is super standard in most PVE games. Except this DLC you can earn ingame pretty well.
Speed Malus 5/abr./2024 às 14:26
Technically, and I mean TECHNICALLY you are correct. But only technically.

The specific hyper consumer friendly approach HD2 has is not a good way to monetise the Warbonds. Specifically for the Developer this approach is not good.

Technicalities aside this game wins the best Warbond/Battlepass award from me for being one of the only two games I've played that lets you do old passes, and the only one that is free.

the amount of DRIBBLE being typed by some people here is insane.
It's "drivel", actually. :)
That college not going so well, huh?

Dribble in this context means "foolish talk or ideas; nonsense". so.. yeah it apparently is.

I think grasping straws is trying to get pedantic on the numbers. You get my point. Almost all the maps are recolors with the same assets. And the guns are few. If not for the warbonds, they lose in content even to most f2p games. The least they could do is make it very easy to unlock guns, like battlefield
You mean, like... by allowing players to get super credits from the free warbond and ground pickups? Man, that would be something, wouldn't it?

I'm also not being pedantic about the numbers. Let's see what you skipped:
1. a whole ass game with 4+ completely biomes and multiple variations for each
2. two distinct factions with a 3rd one in the works
3. 20+ stratagems of which all new ones have been free
4. 10+ support weapons of which all new ones have been free
5. 7 armors and 8 guns
6. multiple grenades
7. literally all of the useful boosters
8. an upgrade system
9. datamined gun customization in the works
10. more things I can't be bother to type out

Sure does seem more than 3 maps and 5 guns.

Can you now stop arguing in bad faith like you have been doing in pretty much every thread I've seen you?
shut up pal

If you don't have the time but got the money, go pay for it. If you have the time but don't have money, play for it.

How is this not a good way to monetize? The point is to get money for it.

There are ways to farm enough super credits for a warbond in less than 30 minutes...
Anticitizen 1 5/abr./2024 às 14:53
It takes 20 - 30 hours of gametime to get 1,000 supercreds. How is that too much gametime per month?
Green Bastard 5/abr./2024 às 15:25
I work mandatory overtime every week, did not buy any super credits and have unlocked the cutting edge warbond and have almost enough to unlock the next one. Sure i'm missing out on one warbond but that's what drives me when playing this game.

I've unlocked all the stratagems so I have no use for Req points, now its a medal and SC grind, giving me something to strive for. If I quickly unlocked everything in the game, there would be no more sense of progression and it would get real boring real fast. I think the amount of time it takes to get the warbonds is perfectly fair.
shockBlu 5/abr./2024 às 15:27
bruh you can probably get that in 2-3 hours
¤ OpN ¤ 5/abr./2024 às 15:28
So because you dont want to grind the game it isnt fair? weird stance.

Yes. In my gaming experience, exploiters tend to get things changed to prevent said exploit which usually results in the players (who did not exploit) also losing out.

IE: People are -redacted- to farm super credits?
Spawn less Super credits on the map.
Create a threshold per super credits gained per hour/daily/inserttime
Cap super credits at 1000

I'm sure they could think of other awful things.

I want to ask a question. Like a genuine interest of mine. What's going on in the heads of people like you? I'm not trying to insult you, I'm neutrally asking, with no negativity.

"I have 3 wives, 5 jobs and 10 kids, I have no time at all to play your game, but I want everything right now. Change your game for me, I'm a very busy adult, I have no time to play your childish game"

No matter what game I play, there will always be people like this, demanding the game being changed exclusively for them, despite the fact, in their own words, they don't have any free time to even launch the game. What's the logic behind it?

Regarding HD2 itself, it's one of the best live service models for a player, I see no reason to complain. I've played tons of other live services, paid and f2p. I played many gachas. I think I encountered every possible manipulative tactic and FOMO being utilised. And I've also seen numerous "you can buy it or you can earn it for free playing the game, technically", but in practice those systems always end up as "you need to play 16 hours a day for the next 3 months to get it for free, or you can pay 15$ and get it instantly". Spice it up with ungodly amount of FOMO and you have your average live service/gacha model, where working a few hours in McDonald's is the most efficient way to "play" the game.

HD2 has none of this. Wardbonds are permanent both in buying and completing them. SC and medals are plentiful and you have no limits on how many you can get. You can easily get enough by just playing the game or if you really want to unlock and buy everything as fast as possible, you can just run diff 1 solo missions for a hour or two. It's that easy.
