This. A full priced game should not have micro-transactions in it.
Well he is in college. So he probably will never have the money to afford gaming because he will be too busy paying off that college debt.xD
The specific hyper consumer friendly approach HD2 has is not a good way to monetise the Warbonds. Specifically for the Developer this approach is not good.
Technicalities aside this game wins the best Warbond/Battlepass award from me for being one of the only two games I've played that lets you do old passes, and the only one that is free.
Dribble in this context means "foolish talk or ideas; nonsense". so.. yeah it apparently is.
How is this not a good way to monetize? The point is to get money for it.
I've unlocked all the stratagems so I have no use for Req points, now its a medal and SC grind, giving me something to strive for. If I quickly unlocked everything in the game, there would be no more sense of progression and it would get real boring real fast. I think the amount of time it takes to get the warbonds is perfectly fair.
IE: People are -redacted- to farm super credits?
Spawn less Super credits on the map.
Create a threshold per super credits gained per hour/daily/inserttime
Cap super credits at 1000
I'm sure they could think of other awful things.
"I have 3 wives, 5 jobs and 10 kids, I have no time at all to play your game, but I want everything right now. Change your game for me, I'm a very busy adult, I have no time to play your childish game"
No matter what game I play, there will always be people like this, demanding the game being changed exclusively for them, despite the fact, in their own words, they don't have any free time to even launch the game. What's the logic behind it?
Regarding HD2 itself, it's one of the best live service models for a player, I see no reason to complain. I've played tons of other live services, paid and f2p. I played many gachas. I think I encountered every possible manipulative tactic and FOMO being utilised. And I've also seen numerous "you can buy it or you can earn it for free playing the game, technically", but in practice those systems always end up as "you need to play 16 hours a day for the next 3 months to get it for free, or you can pay 15$ and get it instantly". Spice it up with ungodly amount of FOMO and you have your average live service/gacha model, where working a few hours in McDonald's is the most efficient way to "play" the game.
HD2 has none of this. Wardbonds are permanent both in buying and completing them. SC and medals are plentiful and you have no limits on how many you can get. You can easily get enough by just playing the game or if you really want to unlock and buy everything as fast as possible, you can just run diff 1 solo missions for a hour or two. It's that easy.
