Shame, worked for me, did you actually get a black screen for a minute or two when you relaunched the game for it to be rebuilding the shader cache? When I missed nvidia/DX shader cache, and only deleted HD2's, it didn't do that for me, when i got all 3 it did do that and I haven't had it a single time since.
Start to be a bit boring...
60% of the games you plays are crashing, then you wonder why we fail major orders...
Literally today out of 3 games, 2 crashed and one fail cause a swarm of lvl 12 joined our diff 8 lobby...
Fun slowly going away... The comunity is a nightmare, the crashes are persistent and the progression ends to lvl 25... I am 58... Major order are fun but not enought to keep the interest, i am at the limit of what i can handle in term of loosing time playing a game (and i have time to loose), those crashes needs to be fixed. Today i played 1h30 and get absolutely nothing out of this session, as game crashes loosing sample and ribbons, and the fun you had in during the game is just destroyed by the frustration to see you window desktop (with not even the possibility to report the bug)...
or the possibility to rejoin the game so you wont lose progress
I had been experiencing crashes at the end of every mission, playing 40 mins only to get frustrated at the end that my efforts were for nothing.
what i found was the game was overheating my PC and the system would crash. my PC is a hydro cooled i9, with RTX4080, so yes its top end... but it didnt prevent the issues.
I found an article that advised to lock the frame rate in Nvidia control panel to 70fps. you can do this quite easily in the control panel, and just select this game to apply the effects to. make sure FPS lock is 'Off' in game, and adjust the setting in Nvidia control panel.
Also reduce the 'fog' setting a little in game graphics menu., as thats apparently really intense on the GPU and can cause spikes in workload.
It fixed the problem for me, so I just wanted to share or help others who are/were in my position...
Give it a try... and good luck!
