At least, it's been like that in the 1st game. It is a never ending game of rope where there's no actual "ending" to the conflict. I truly hope none of those people who were pushing so hard to liberate or defend, actually think there's like an end. You could get a "we won the war" and the next day all of that is forgotten...because, the game needs to continue and not end 2 months after release I mean
Devs have mentioned that there will be no world resets in HD2.
Exactly , expecting at least 3 factions total, maybe more.
Imagine 3 fronts , with potential major orders on more than one.
All helldivers go back home and it turns into The Sims?
I'm sorry it looks like that, but there's nothing wrong in the core gameplay. The 1st game was awesome fun with friends and not-so-friends too. And there's beauty in that simple gameplay, my concern is if someone is expecting more from that... I mean it'd be a nice change but I wouldn't hold my breath for a complex narrative. At least I don't believe the spirit of the game aims that way.
