Mic not working, help?

After the last update suddenly my mic doesn't seem to work in game anymore and I cant figure out why, on my end the mic symbol pops on but my friends say they don't see it and it wont transmit.

My mic works fine, I called them through steam and in discord, both work fine (I prefer to use in game chat in case we get randoms) just now theres nothing. Any advice? my computers default audio input is correct as well.

I verified game files and 1 failes to validate, gets reaquired and my audio settings revert so I assume its something with that, but it still wont pick up.

Any advice?

Also please add a toggle mic option

Only thing I can think of is that if you're not using push to speak the icon popping up means the game recognizes incoming audio, it's weird that it doesn't output.

Is there any volume setting in game? Might be that you're just transmitting super low?

I think by default it's on push to talk bound to caps lock, so technically there is a toggle mic option.

Yeach ive even switched it to open, nothing, switched back, nothing. ive tried all of them.

nope you still have to hold it, before the last update my mic worked fine.

My friend also has the same problem and symptoms. When using push to take the Icon lights up on their game, but we don’t see it on our end nor do we hear them. If they change to voice activity, their game does not pick up their voice and on their end they don’t see the microphone icon turn on (and from our end see nothing obviously).

We’ve tried everything from the most popular option on Reddit , looking at the sound mixer options, setting the mic as the default recording communication device, works in discord. In windows listening to the device he can hear himself talk just fine.

Same, mic not coming thru in game but is on discord/windows/etc. Open mic picks nothing up.
