It drops off a LOT.
Doubly so if it's a gun that can outright kill you if you shoot the wrong thing.
Thrown grenades don't have any accuracy stat and have a short curve. Fired grenades do have accuracy and have a long curve.
You're not really meant to 'run and gun' with explosives that will kill both yourself and your team. Trying will mean, at best, you kill yourself.
Accounting for both drop and a target lead is not as easy as shooting someone with a laser rifle, for fairly obvious reasons I think.
The grenade pistol is almost a must-have against bugs simply for the extra 8 holes you can shut. As an actual sidearm there are better choices, but as a utility it has no match.
Yea I shot like 3 grenades DIRECTLY into the hole of a bot factory before it finally decided to count one and blow up.
My experiences exactly! Rarely happens with bug holes, but bots... Sheesh...
