This is in a link, on the front page of HD2.
They simply went around the issue.
They almost had a new cod, now they have nothing.
First it was Steam's fault now it's Sony's fault.
AH is at fault as much as Sony, especially regarding the incompetent part of CMs and certain parts of development such as balancing.
Remember when they denied any involvement regarding PSN? The only sane person (CEO) said himself that they knew it for 6 months.
AH and Sony are companies that exists to make profit, just like any other company, they attend to marketing discussions, so they certainly were on the tables as well when they decided to restrict HD2.
My point is that the war is not over yet and that we shouldn't have rooted for victory so quick, we are seeing the consequences.
Was actually always sony's fault. Why? Sony is the publisher. Sony makes the call on when it is sold/where it is sold/the terms of agreement in a contract. AH provides the content, steam provides the selling platform/support for community and possibly online interactions, sony handles the rest. You want to be mad at arrowhead? Be mad at the balancing, but they haven't deceived you in the slightest in terms of the PSN stuff. It's all been there since day 1.
1- go to the publishers page (Playstation Studios)
2- on the right of the page you have a small circle
3- click on the circle and press "Ignore this creator"
The CEO of AH himself said that they were aware of the PSN stuff 6 months before the release and they never stated anything, and they never put up any country restrictions since it would've been mandatory, they knew what they were doing and they did it for increasing the profit.
Again, they are companies, they need to make money, it's their purpose, they attend to marketing discussions with Sony, they communicate with eachother and also take some of the decisions.
On top of that i also stated the problem of balancement and community management.
ArrowHead is not a non-profit organisation, it's a company just like Sony, the objective is the same.
Agreed, sadly.
Aware of the PSN stuff, yes, because it was planned before release. There was a huge debacle over it and is even in Sony's official playstation blog about the PC release on Jan 8th of 2024. They however stated in another tweet directly after that, was more of a response. That they had no idea about the PSN restrictions in other regions. Again, they are not the seller, they are the developer.
The community manager (Imo) handles things as if they would a daycare center, because a wide majority of people complaining on the discord/twitter act like children. Sure, sure, customer relations. However, I don't see raving lunatics as customers. In anycase, the one major troublesome one, got fired.
«They however stated in another tweet directly after that, was more of a response. That they had no idea about the PSN restrictions in other regions.»
It's clearly an excuse, everyone knows about that, be real there was an interest in not telling that, the reason is money, AH is not all nice and flowers.
Regarding the CMs, well if for you it's okay to have employees that encourages the break of Somy's ToS putting their customer's at risk then i guess you have really low standards.
I am used to actual CMs who knows how to do their own job, i guess the standard is really low here.
Most gamers are cvcks who enjoy the abuse
Agreed.
"It's clearly an excuse." Perhaps, but what you're doing is accusing, so neither side has the actual "Facts" right? However, the one fact that is there, is that PSN was required from day 1. It wasn't enforced after the 6 hour period due to a complication in the server, but if you logged in day 1 within 6 hours of the launch time, you were prompted with a splash screen. The CEO made the call to turn it off, Sony made the call to turn it back on. That's just how it goes.
Yeah that's called misleading customers into buying a product that in the end you couldn't use.
It's illegal here in the EU y'know? As well as the geo-blocking thing.
